My husband went and bought this car, and I'll admit it is a nice car BUT money is low, we have a new baby and toddler with Christmas around the corner we are parting with it so we can have Christmas. SO let this be an awesome present for someone else this Christmas. (My uncle is going to be answering any questions and calls as its at his house for pickup) PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BIDDING OR CALLING HIM TO SEE THE CAR. This is a very rare car with the Marti Report to prove it. Please see pictures and the look closely at the Marti Report. Only 288 made with this paint and interior color. Only 467 made Power Top. A great investment, but not too expensive to enjoy driving every day if you decide. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, EVERY BID IS A WINNER!! The Convertible Top is 1 year old, Paint and Interior is 2 years old and the motor was rebuilt 5 years ago with very few miles driven since then. The Carpet is only 1 month old & Radial Tires only have a few thousand miles on them. The Master cylinder, Steel and Rubber lines have been replaced about a month ago at Harry's Discount Tire in Myrtle Beach. There is some surface rust on the frame rails under the car, as with any car 45 years old, but all pictures were taken within a few hours of the listing and the underneath side pictures were taken as well. He has driven the car mostly around town but it should be fine for driving a few hundred miles from my location if you win it.Whoever painted the car a couple years ago could have done a better job sanding before they painted. The car does have some blemish spots that have been painted over, a few scratches and small surface rust that should have been sanded right off the car before painting. The car is not perfect, but it is beautiful!This car is in really good condition and the title claims the milage is not actual, but everything is so tight and works that he believe it to be a low milage car. The doors, front end, everything is tight. I make no promises as we bought the car like you see it. He said the pulsating tailights have a new circuit board but need the flasher installed under the dash before they will pulsate, they work fine as regular tail lights but apparently the Cougar was always known for the really cool lights strobing across the rear when the brakes are applied. The hideway headlights work great. The power top, windshield wipers, gas gauge, speedometer, etc..works great. There is a box full of rubber gaskets and other small things to be installed before you drive in the rain very much, but he has bought them and they are included in the sale.The car will need someone to install the new exhaust manifold included in the sale, also adjust all windows from Having the convertible top installed it changed the postion of the stopping points so I am told, they all work and with your hand you can align them but I am told its an easy fix. The plastic lenses that cover the gauges have some haze on them and you can remove them and use a headlight lens restore kit to clear them up. He does not believe the engine is original or the heads have been changed, as the car came with a 4V and the heads on the car now 2V. Out of State checks can take from 7 to 10 days, YOU MUST MAKE THE DEPOSIT AS REQUIRED REGARDLESS OR I WILL NOT HOLD THE CAR FOR YOUR OUT OF STATE CHECK TO CLEAR. Cash in 3 days of Auction ending is preferred but I can work with anyone until the weekend if you cannot get off work during the week.
