Vehicle Detail

Being relisted due to a non paying bidder. please read, understand, and follow the payment and pick up instructions. also, before the auction is over, please look into shipping cost (if necessary) as this adds to the total cost of the car. if any of this is unclear, or you have any questions, ask before the auction is over or you bid. thank you. this was the first bad experience I've had in the 11 years I've been on ebay. I hope not to repeat it. This is a NO RESERVE auction. It is not advertised anywhere else, there is no "buy it now", and I will not end the auction early for a cash offer. It will be sold to the high bidder, period. I'm not a dealer or a flipper trying to make a profit. I'm letting the bidders determine the value. I'd rather let it go now, than let it sit neglected any longer. I took all the pictures on Sunday Sept. 21st. I didn't try to clean or hide anything. this is exactly how it sits/is right now. I took a quick video of it running on Monday Sept. 22nd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X3es9Sl8Ls&feature=em-upload_owner This is a very basic Model J. It has it's born with 400 engine, TH400 trans, and 2.93 open rear end. A complete (non functional) A/C system, standard steering column, standard gauge cluster, and manual roll up windows. The body is in very good condition. originally a California car, It has all of it's original body panels, with no rust through that I can find. the radiator support, floors, and trunk are also solid. There is some surface rust present (it is 44 years old) most noticeably in the trunk and engine compartment area's. It has had one repaint and an aftermarket style vinyl top added. there are a couple spots where the paint is checked/cracked/bubbled. I posted the best pictures I could take of those areas. it would be best to consider the repair to be more extensive than it may look. not saying it will be, but better to be pleasantly surprised that it's not as bad as you thought, than it to be worse. there are also dings and many paint chips on the drivers side along the belt line. some others, else where, as well. the chrome and trim is in over all good to excellent condition, with the exception of the rear bumper. it is rusted at the top. The car has sat outside not driven/moved, for a few years. The complete interior is shot. it has gotten wet and is VERY moldy every place. let me say that again, the complete interior is wet and VERY moldy. head liner is coming apart and falling down, and the non original type package tray covering is curling up. all the rubber seals around the door windows and trunk are shot and it looks like they have allowed water into it. maybe it got in somewhere else as well, I don't know for sure. Before it was parked, most everything, accessories and all, worked as they should. the engine runs ok, with no unusual noises, but is tired and in need of a complete rebuild. the trans worked great, but leaks. the power steering leaks also. since it has been sitting for a few years, I haven't reconfirmed the operation of anything. based on the engine running the same as it did when parked, I would think every thing else is still working as well. I will suggest it gets a complete safety inspection before it is driven to insure everything is functioning properly/safely. and based on that, it will need to be towed from my location. I have a signed/open/clear, Illinois title from a pervious owner (not in my name). CT does not issue a title for this year vehicle. I will also provide a CT transfer of ownership form with my name on it to the new owner. A $100.00 down payment (non refundable) is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction by paypal. the balance will be in the form of cash or check only and due within 7 days of the end of the auction. all funds will clear my bank before the car or any paper work pertaining to the car is released. the winning bidder must contact me, though ebay email, within 24 hours of the end of the auction. in this email, I will need to know how you intend to make final payment (cash in person or mailing of check) and how/when you will remove the car from my location. the winning bidder is solely responsible for the pick up of this vehicle from my location. it must be picked up with in 15 days of the auctions end, unless other arrangements are made prior to the end of the auction. This vehicle is being sold as is where is with no warranty of any kind expressed or implied. I described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge and ability. please ask any and all questions and be satisfied with the answer before you bid.
