FOR SALE: 2002 Porsche 911 / 996 Carrera Cabriolet (convertible) Hello. Thanks for taking a look at Porsche I have for sale. This Porsche had a sticker price of $93,000 new…own it for a fraction of that now. We have sold our house and are in the process of moving to Arizona. I would love to keep this car but need to sell it to help with the move. No reserve on this auction. Bidding starts at $15,000. EXTERIOR: The car is in very good shape. As you can see in the pictures, the body is in overall great shape for a 2002. MECHANICAL: The car runs and drives beautifully. The engine runs strong and smooth. The Tiptronic automatic transmission shifts great. NO LEAKS whatsoever. Since I had planned on keeping the car, it has a recent coolant change, transmission fluid change, and brand new battery. The tires are also nearly new. One important thing to mention, which will give you a piece of mind, is that this car has an upgraded LN Engineering IMS bearing. This part alone is $800. INTERIOR: Each and every power option in this car is working correctly. This includes all of the power windows, locks, audio, cruise control, convertible top, etc. Both seats are powered and heated. The convertible opens easily up, down, back, and forward very smoothly and with no abnormal noises. The stereo is the premium option Bose with a 6 disc CD changer, AM/FM, and satellite radio ready. There is even a tape deck. EXTRAS: The previous owner installed a radar detection and jamming system. Also, the car has body color painted headlight covers to make it look more like a 997. The only bad thing about this car is there is a check engine light. The code is P0021 (“A” Camshaft Position Actuator). The car is not physically out of time. It is highly likely that a variable valve timing (VVT) actuator is acting up. I don’t have the time to troubleshoot and mess with it. Anyway, the car runs great and my lack of time is your gain as you’ll likely get the car far under NADA value. You can find the part I’m talking about (actuator) here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/SuperCat/0909/POR_0909_ENGCYL_pg3.htm#item12 You will receive the car, 2 keys, numerous manuals, radio key card, and window sticker. This is a solid Porsche 911, however, the buyer understands the vehicle is a used vehicle and is sold in “as-is” condition with no warranty. SHIPPING & PAYMENT: I’m a private seller and don’t have any relationships with auto shippers. You can pick the car up or if you decide to ship I’m willing to be flexible and help (meet the shipper with the car). There is a fantastic website that you can use (www.uship.com) to setup shipping if you so choose. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction end. Full payment due within 7 days. Payments excepted are cash or certified check* *Even with a certified check, I will need time to take the check to my bank and verify the funds are good. Sorry folks, but there are fake certified check makers out there!
