Vehicle Detail
This car has been relisted because the previous high bidder (who had not seen the car) and I ended up mutually canceling the transaction. Please do not bid on this car unless you are sure about completing the transaction. This is a NO RESERVE listing. Questions, please email or call/text John at 440-339-4341. This is my 1994 Mercedes-Benz E320 sedan with only 94,012 original miles. This is perhaps one of the nicest remaining examples of this car in the country. This is a clean, well-kept, well-maintained car that runs, drives and looks very good. I'm a vintage Mercedes nut. I love older examples of these cars in beautiful condition. Vintage Mercedes-Benz cars were the best-built cars in the world, and there is good reason why they last so long. Nothing is built so solidly and so durably. These cars will last 400,000 miles or more with good maintenance, and like a fine Swiss watch, these examples of fine German engineering and craftsmanship are a pleasure to experience. This is the last (and best) of the legendary W124 platform that began production in 1985. These cars were massively expensive to engineer and produce, and they are among the most durable and long-lasting cars ever made. This car was built at a time when Mercedes-Benz had no price competition from the Japanese manufacturers; they simply built the best car they could and charged the appropriate price. Better stated, these cars were built to a standard, not to a price. This Mercedes has the following equipment and options:3.2L 32V DOHC inline-6, 217 HPautomatic transmissionpower leather seatspower moonroofautomatic climate control with A/C (blows cold)power windowspower lockspower mirrorsABS brakesdual front airbagsKenwood AM/FM/CD playerMercedes SL600 16" aluminum wheelsThis cars are very durable, reliable and long-lasting, and for that reason most of them have very high mileage by this age. It is difficult to find one like this, with only 94,000 miles. The specific reason is that the car was not driven in winters, nor was it the owner's primary vehicle, so it was driven sparingly, but regularly. This car starts, runs and drives beautifully. The 3.2L inline-6 is powerful and runs very well. The transmission shifts well. The suspension and steering are tight and responsive. There are no warning lights illuminated on the dash. This car runs and drives just like a well-built top-of-the-line Mercedes should. There are no known mechanical problems or issues. I know of no reason this car couldn't make a long drive home anywhere. This car is powerful and FAST. The 32V 3.2L six makes outstanding power- it is amazing how well it pulls this big car. The car is tight and stable on the road and it drives very well. Driving one of these cars that only has 94,000 miles rather than the typical 200,000 makes all the difference. This is a tight, crisp, new-feeling car to drive. The interior of this E320 is clean and well-kept. The leather seats have remained in good condition, and the carpets and upholstery are clean and in nice shape. The leather seats look really, really good. It is hard to find 20-year old leather seats in this condition- they have no rips or tears, nor are they worn out in any way. This car is clean and nice inside, with no typical broken pieces/switches as you often find. This is a neat and clean, well-preserved interior. The exterior, paint and body are very nice. This is a super clean, rust-free body with good condition paint and a clean exterior overall. This body looks great and hasn't been exposed to road salt or snow, so it looks excellent. The wheels on the car are 16" wheels from my old 1994 Mercedes SL600 V12 roadster. They were painted black in the center portion, and the tires have good tread remaining. I have had quite a bit of recent work done to the car to keep it in good mechanical condition. Recent work includes new engine mounts, new transmission mount, new spark plug coils and wires, new spark plugs, regular oil changes, plus a 4-wheel alignment. The car has also recently been through the Mercedes-Benz dealer for a checkup, inspection and tune-up. This is a 1994 vehicle and as such it is not brand new. Please expect normal issues of wear and tear consistent with the age of the car. I am a very particular person- the following is a comprehensive list of all of the faults I know of in the car, no matter how small: There is one small piece of exterior body cladding missing behind the left rear door. There are minor paint scratches here and there throughout the body and a few minor dings. The power radio antenna is missing. The right rear power window is inoperable. The RR interior window switch is missing the plastic surround bezel. A few faults in driver's seat bottom have been carefully and professionally repaired- it isn't perfect but it looks pretty good. There are some cracks in the rear bumper. The inside driver's door panel shows a bit of warping from age. The car has been checked out by Mercedes and given a clean bill of heath, but occasionally there is some minor engine surging particularly at idle. The leading edge of the driver's armrest is worn. The moonroof does open and close, but it can be finicky sometimes, other times not- I think the switch is sticky. The car leaves a few drips/leaks of oil on the garage floor. That is it- that is the comprehensive list of every known fault or issue. This is a clean, reliable, dependable vintage Mercedes in great shape.
