Alfa Romeo 1969 Boat-tail Spider Project Up for auction is my nearly finished 1969 Alfa Romeo Spider. I am very sad to have to sell it after so much work and effort. I have owned the car for about 10 years and have been slowly restoring it for the last three years. Divorce forces sale. Car is a very solid example of the final year of the much desired boat-tail or round-tail spider. The 1750 cc engine is strong and reliable with the following work New Centerline Electronic Ignition System New Water Pump, hoses, belts Cleaned, tested and polished radiator New Battery Original Spica mechanical fuel injection system. Cleaned, tuned and operating properly Original Air Cleaner Brakes, new Centerline Cross Drilled Rotors, Newly rebuilt calipers, new pads, new stainless steel brake lines Original Seats in good condition, driver’s seat has small tears in base. New Transmission Tunnel carpeting in red. Door cards are in excellent condition as is associated door hardware. Dash, gauges, switches all in excellent condition. Interior needs to be installed Roof is original vinyl in good condition. Was ever up as car was only used in good weather. Full tonnau cover included Roof is off of the car Rubber floor covering mats are dry but in usable condition. Trans tunnel carpeting is new Paint is 18 months old. Very nice . Bare metal preparation . Body is straight and solid with very little filler. No rust under car with the exception of rear passenger footwell. Repair started. Driver’s floor is new. Passenger floor is solid. Extra floor stamping included. Seat rails need to be installed The Bad, Please read. The front lower pan and lower heart grill were damaged when loading the car on a trailer. Stampings are available or a competent body man could easily complete this work. Please see pictures Also, two small chips on leading edge of trunk where someone closed the trunk before it was adjusted.
