2000 was the first production year for the Honda RC51 Superbike. It was a motorcycle specifically built to beat Ducati in the World Superbike Championship. Honda accomplished it's goal in 2000 when Collin Edwards won the championship aboard an RC51. This motorcycle, manufactured in February 2000, carries vin #000001. It is one of the first production RC51's to roll off the assembly line at the Hamamatsu plant in Japan. It was purchased new in April 2000. I am the original and sole owner. Very low mileage at just over 6,300. There are several aftermarket components on this motorcycle. - Akrapovic full race exhaust system. Titanium pipes with carbon fiber cans and carbon fiber exhaust hangers (the passenger foot-pegs have been eliminated); - Power Commander Electronic fuel mapping module; - Datatool "digi" electronic gear indicator; - Erion Racing soft rev-limit eliminator; - Rear sprocket two teeth larger than stock; - Side frame sliders; and - Rear fender eliminator kit. Removable passenger seat included, although as stated, there are no passenger foot pegs. This motorcycle runs perfectly. The plastics and frame are in beautiful shape with the exception of the rear portion of the rear fairing. The motorcycle was backed up against a cement wall when stored and this scratched the rear facing portion of the fairing where the Honda sticker is. This is easily visible in one of the photographs. The low-end power of this v-twin make it an extremely fun bike to ride!
