1985 Toyota Supra MkII P-Type, 110,500 original miles, 2.8-liter DOHC 5M-GE inline six, 5-speed manual transmission, black over grey interior. This is a rust-free, unmodified, bone-stock Celica Supra down to the original double-DIN EQ radio; only maintenance/wear items have been replaced over the years. Note this is not a "Michigan car;" it was from the southeast and has been garaged/stored winters since it's lived in Michigan. The car starts, stops, shifts, steers and brakes beautifully; engine pulls strongly to redline with no unusual noises. Good oil pressure, no overheating, all gauges work. Cold A/C, and the automatic climate control system correctly adjusts itself to the selected temperature. Cruise control works fine, power sunroof works (sometimes needs a nudge but it doesn't leak), power mirrors work, power windows work. Lights work inside and out (even the underhood trouble light). Original black finish is in nice condition for 30 year-old Japanese paint with a few nicks/blemishes. The exception is the driver's side C pillar which exhibits some clearcoat failure (see photo). Interior is extremely clean -- no dash cracks, no upholstery tears or split seams, no holes/burns in either the carpets or seats, no noticeable fading, includes original retracting luggage cover. Headliner is in mint condition, all glass is excellent and appears original. Spare tire/wheel/jack/tools are all there. Extensive records were kept for the car's past five years, and the following items have been repaired or replaced with OE equivalent parts at various points in the past 40,000 miles: -- Battery/alternator -- Clutch and clutch hydraulics including master and slave cylinder -- Brake pads and rotors (all four wheels) -- Front and rear shocks/struts including strut mount bearings -- Steering inner and outer tie rods (with alignment following the work) -- Muffler (stock-type stainless steel replacement) -- Differential oil -- Plugs/plug wires/coil -- R134a A/C retrofit including new receiver/dryer -- Timing belt service This Supra has been well cared for its entire life, and it shows, but does still have some needs: -- Leaks oil from the usual 5M-GE places, not enough to need topping off but it will leave spots on the driveway -- Tires are about 30% -- Ignition switch is worn -- works fine but key can be removed in any position -- Power antenna does not work (radio still pulls in stations fine though) -- Original floor mats are included but they're in rough shape I've owned several Mk2 Supras over the years and this is one of the nicest, most original driver-quality cars I've seen. No, it's not one of the ultra-low-mileage showroom Supras that show up occasionally, but it's not priced like one of those either. Car is located in southeast Michigan/Detroit suburbs.
