1985 Monte Carlo SS Up for auction is my 1985 Monte Carlo SS. The car is in great condition and has not been abused like 90% of these cars you see today. Car is 95% original. I will go over the car by sections below. Exterior-The car was repainted about a year ago. The car was taken down the the metal and there was no rust whatsoever. NONE. The car was painted as close to the original color as possible. Paint was a two stage base coat clear coat. The paint job was done professionally. Was not done the cheap way. The stripes were put on after the car was painted. All of the trim was repainted back to the original black color. Car has also been lowered 2" all the way around. The front was lowered using belltech drop spindles. The rear was lowered with 2" hotchkins lowering spings. Interior- The interior of the car is very clean and original. The back seats do show some fading along the top. Original GM floormats. The radio has been upgraded to a retro sound radio. Retro sound makes radios for older cars that look like original radios. Does have a aux input for your phone so you can listen to music. All of the gauges are original and work perfectly. Even the clock works as it should. Dash has NO cracks. Power windows and locks work as they should. ***The gear shift indicator in the dash is not working. Just needs a new cable for this small fix.*** Engine- The engine is 100% original. Not one single thing has been changed to the engine. The engine runs strong and has great oil pressure. The car does have a very small slow oil leak. Transmission shifts smooth and works. Drivetrain, engine, transmission is all original. The car still has original cats. Only thing that has been changed is it does have flowmaster mufflers. Overall, if you are looking for a classic Monte SS that has not been abused, beat up, and modified then this is what you are looking for. Very clean and nice. Get thumbs ups and compliments every time i take it out. Has been kept in garage and only driven on weekends since I have had it.
