Vehicle Detail

I purchased this car new in November of 1984. It has never seen snow. It is always garaged. No rust or body damage of any kind. As the pictures show it doesn't get out of the garage much. Never smoked in and no funny odors. Recently I decided to have some fun and had a 347 stroker built for it. The compression is 9.5 to 1, allowing the use of regular unleaded fuel. It was dynoed putting out 350 horsepower. As you can tell by the pictures the engine compartment looks stock. This was done on purpose. So many of these fox bodies when fixed up are full of chome and strange color wires and fittings etc. I like the clean orginal under hood appearance. This year is the last year Ford used the carbureator as the fuel delivery choice. This one has a Holly 700 cfm duel pump. The exhaust is a true duel system with flow master mufflers letting out a nice throaty sound. As you can further see in the pictures the car was lowered. Ford Racing springs were installed along with KYB shocks giving it a true sports car handling. The GT originally came with 4 lug wheels. Heavy Duty brakes seemed like a must now so along with the upgrade in brakes 5 lug rotors and axles were added. This was all topped off with 17" rims and Goodyear Eagle 1 tires. The 5 speed transmission was completly rebuilt along with the Ford Racing upgrade kit added. The clutch was changed to 11" giving more grab. With the transmission upgrade it was a must to get a real shifter. The factory shifter is not built to handle much over 150 horsepower. Hurst makes a great shifter for this application and I will say it works with ease and precision. For giggles it had to have a Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft installed. With the added horsepower the 373 gears were no longer needed to get out of the hole quickly. I had the differential rebuilt and changed the ratio to 3.00. It will escape from a dead stop to 100 before you realize it. Once in 5th gear you can cruise 75 mph only doing 1900 rpm. The rest of the goodies, Air Conditioning, power windows, cruise control, radio, etc. all work perfect. When ever possible I used only Ford or Ford authorized parts on this Mustang. As you can see in the pictures the original boot cover is still with the car along with the storage bag. The original Marchek Fog Lights are still working and I have the original covers for them as well. When all is said and done this is like a new car, drives like a new car, and WILL NOT depreciate like a new car. This car is road ready to drive across country or hitchhike in the back of a car hauler. I really don't want to sell it after all the work I did, sometimes we don't have a choice in things. The data sticker reads, Body 66B, Paint 9L, Trim PA, Axle M, Trans 2PPBB, Date 9/84 The car is located in southern Arizona.
