Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this 1978 Dodge Ramcharger SE 4x4 with the original 360 V8 engine and the Torqueflite 727 automatic transmission showing only 116k miles on the odometer. The original Sunrise Orange and White paint still shines on this highly original Mopar 4x4 SUV. The removable hard top, cruise control, A/C, center console, and roll bar all add up to a highly-optioned machine from the factory. Originally a Wyoming vehicle, it has been taken care of very well for the past 36 years, with only a few small areas of rust and a few dings from hail many years ago. The interior is in very good shape, with the original bucket seats and rear bench seat in very good condition. The new Goodyear Duratrac tires (31 x 10.50 x 15) and the Mopar-style steel wheels and caps allow for a nice ride both on and off road. With any old vehicle that has not been restored, there are items that need attention. Following is a list of the known problem areas: the CD player does not work, the windshield wiper linkage has come unattached, the arm rest on the driver's door is not attached (a new armrest is included), there is a small crack in the top of the radiator (a new radiator is included), the brakes are a little soft, the A/C doesn't work, the rubber trim around the doors is loose (new trim is included), the cruise control works intermittently, and the rust in the rear lower corner panel (replacement panel included). I've owned this vehicle for about 4 years and have only put about 2000 miles on it in that time. It is a great, vintage, original-paint, Mopar 4x4 SUV in a fantastic color combination that would make for an easy restoration project or a great driver as-is. More pictures available upon request. Thanks and good luck!
