Vehicle Detail
1979 Ford Fairmont Futura Coupe 6 Cyl Automatic, Great gas Mileage... This is a 1979 Ford Fairmont Futura Coupe this vehicle is licensed and insured as I use it to travel in and drive it some local, It has been driven to Florida and back once a year for past 6 years, this is really a smooth ride, handles great, never had no problems with it... been tuned up and serviced every year and regular oil changes... At the moment their is a push button switch to start it with... I do have a ignition switch for it, (See Picture ) but I never put it on because the steering wheel has to come off and I am not good with that kind of thing, so I hooked up a push button to start it with. Note: it is not the key switch it is an ignition switch... Really not much to say about it, I have owned it for 7 years, replaced the normal things you replace on vehicle, generator, starter, volt regulator, just recently in June of 2014 replaced the turn signal switch on steering. pretty easy to do and its last inspection was in June 2014 only 3 months ago (Passed) It has 4 lug Mustang 16 inch Rims on it and tire size on it now is P20565 R-16 94+MS the rear tires have about I would say 60 % Tread... the front, I think would be about 30% it still has lines in it, and are not smooth or slick, I am just guessing, I am not a tire expert.... The front and rear times were replaced at different times... As you can see in pictures I am not trying to cover anything up and have been completely honest based on my ownership past 6 years and my knowledge, it would make a great car for a collector or first time school kid, very little body work needs to be done, I was going to put a hood scoop on it and spoiler in back and sunroof on it and paint it, but due to health reasons I was unable to do it It is a great car and hope it goes to a good home, vehicle is sold as is, no warranty once this vehicle leaves property, the buyer is the responsible for its upkeep and maintenance & any repair if needed... keep in mind it is 35 years old and in good shape for its age, My assessment on it is based on my driving history and mileage put on it... it like any car could have problems even your new cars or used cars you take off a lot break down , so if your asking me if it would make it from here to there, I can only give you my opinion and not in anyway warranty it... If I can think of anything else to add to it I will do so...
