Vehicle Detail

Selling my nice pre WWII Dodge Dump truck. She only has 23107 miles on the clock and I believe this to be the original mileage based on the condition of the truck. She was rescued from a friend's ranch in Arroyo Grande where she sat for years in a storage shed. She has absolutely no cancer on her, only surface rust. She still has 1963 license plates on front and back as well as the original art deco door and window handles, original windshield crank and mechanism, engine hood props on both hoods, and all of her bright work intact and in place. Something you don't see very often she still has the original embossed cardboard on the door panels and kick panels. The headliner is still there but torn badly as with the door panels, usable only as a pattern. The engine is the largest flathead 6 I have ever seen. The engine number is T118-1052. It is not running but the engine turns over and is not frozen. The honeycomb type radiator is in excellent condition and appears to be original. She sports the original bugeye headlights and cowl lights with lenses. There is a decal on both doors which reads "State of California Department of Public Works Highways Division" Nice to know where her roots were. There are 4 good 7.50 X 20 tires and 2 so-so tires. There are also 4 additional rims and extra tires which are good as rollers only. The brakes work. The dump bed sports a two-way tail gate and the dump bed floor is intact with no holes or rust thru. The running boards are nice with only a couple of small dents. Again, no holes here. The body has no cancer anywhere that I can see. The front bumper is excellent. Probably because it is such thick metal. The truck is currently a construction yellow or faded orange. Originally it appeared to be green with black fenders and headlights before it was painted by the State. The glass on the doors and rear of the cab are cracked but intact and in place to use for patterns. The front windshield is not cracked but has the usual age related bubbles from the lamination separating around the edges. The original gauges are all there. The seats have rips but the padding and springs are good and showing no wear. I shot photos of the cab showing the plywood floorboard which has deteriorated but is still good as a pattern. Also the two cover plates for the battery and gas tank are there. (see photo) I found the following original tools in the truck which are included with the sale: Heavy duty jack with handle, engine crank (did they really try to crank these engines?), hub wrench, and lug wrench.I have no paperwork on the vehicle as it was lost in the fog of time I am sure. I will gladly provide a bill of sale. If a "title" is required for out-of -country buyers one can be obtained at an additional cost. I estimate $200 as the truck will have to be trailered to DMV for inspection and paperwork fees. I would be happy to do this for you if needed. It takes 3 to 6 weeks to obtain the title. The tuck can easily be trailered. The dimensions are Wheel Base 168". Front hub to front bumper 32". Height 83" Overall length 228". Width 82" measured to outside of rear duals. Inner rear tires 59" outside to outside. I will help all I can if you use a shipper. You can also store it here for a couple of months if it is paid for in full.
