I’ll do my best to answer them here: The car is currently at our local Honda dealership, they are making a determination as to whether the clear coat is covered under the recall warranty. I’ll update the auction as soon as I know anything more. This car’s history will show a failed emission test in 2013 - the battery died while my wife was deployed and i replaced it and drove straight to the inspection point to get the State inspection done for her so she could drive it as soon as she got back. As per the Honda techs: "the car's on-board diagnostic system requires that it be driven 50 miles if you remove and re-install a battery in order for the car's on-board diagnostic system to re-set itself and give clear codes. As it only had about 10 miles on it after I changed the battery the on-board diagnostic had not completed their re-set cycle and initially the emission test failed it was only 10 miles from my house to the inspection station so i had to drive it around for a half hour for the diagnostics to become clear. At which point I returned to the inspection station the inspection was completed without further incident. On Sep-12-14 at 14:22:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Word back from the Honda dealership is that the clearcoat peeling is covered under the warranty. The earliest appointment here is for sept 22nd. You may be able to get it done sooner at your local dealership. Also the slight haze in the instrument cluster cover is being repaired (lens replacement).
