Vehicle Detail
The first thing that happens when you start this beast is a smile developing. This thing puts my 2012 Sahara to shame. I love this jeep but need more room to haul the troops around. (too many kids that want to go on rides) This jeep started as a father/son project. A majority of the mechanics were done by an employee (owner's son) of Mcbetts racing in NY for himself . He used top shelf parts. (He had to sell the jeep because he had too many kids also.) This includes engine, transmission and rear axle. As a result this thing flies. Shifts smoother than my Volvo and has that beautiful V8 sound. We took the jeep down to the tub and the cleaned It and used Monstaliner to paint the it. Monstaliner is hard to scratch and easy to repair. I like to think of it as teenager proof. However, no teenagers have driven it because it has too much power and they aren't ready for it. Rust is not an issue and there is no rust hiding behind any panels. See the photos of before and after of the tub. There is nothing hiding under the bed liner.I didn't paint the full doors. They are in great shape and could easily be finished or sold. They do not have the typical rust. Pics to follow. The jeep does not have a speedometer and thus no mileage reported. It has three years on the engine and is only driven for fun during the nice months and during the winter when I really have to get to work. I have snow and ice tires for the winter as a back up. Two tanks of gas a month at best. We have not had a chance to take it 4 wheeling. However, if you are not paying attention you might chirp the tires going into second. So there has been no major stresses on the jeep since it has been resto-modded. I have never given it full throttle. A quarter throttle is all it needs to get moving. This Jeep is unique. We get stopped at the time with people asking about it. The winner will not be disappointed. I am also listing vehicle locally. It is the local school colors so I reserve the right to end the auction early.Follow the youtube link to hear it running: http://youtu.be/RyoegaJAhH0 What's it got: 383 Stroker, small block Chevy (SBC) built by Mcbetts racing in New York.
