Relisting as Fixed Price / Make Offer.Due to some questions, it appears that I wasn't clear about the needed body work and the body parts that are included. The new quarter panel skins, rear outer wheelhouses and trunk connecters, front fender patch panels are included but have not been installed. Also none of the new weather-stripping is installed because it should be done after the paint. The car is in its original 1971 paint, there has been no body work done on it in the 18 years we've owned it. Floor pans are structurally sound but I've just found some very small holes. If the body was finished I would be listing for something around $20k like most of the others instead of where it is. The $8250 opening reflects that it is not a perfect car, but it also reflects that I'm not trying to get rich off of the sale - seems a fair price, hope you agree. Lots of financial room to finish the car and still be under the typical asking price for a more finished car.All the pictures in this ad are less than 2 weeks old. This IS how the car looks now.Adding more details at the end. 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible, Red & White. 350/350 with HEI, cold air inlet, dual Flowmaster 2.5 inch exhaust, converted to front disc brakes and larger rear drum brakes, many more details, too much to list. This is a complete original car, never raced or molested, always adult owned and driven. Some of the chrome was removed in preparation for new paint, but that plan fell through. I have all the trim and badges in good driver condition. New quarter panel skins, rear outer wheelhouses and trunk connecters, front fender patch panels, new never installed seat backs and lower seat bases - molded in white, not painted, all weather-stripping for the top and doors, new sweeps for the windows, along with all hood and trunk weather-stripping and more will go with the car. Dash, door panels, kick panels and rear side panels have never been cut for radio or speakers. Console is complete and in good shape, but currently out of the car because I pulled the old carpet and wasn’t going to replace it until after the paint. We’ve had the car for 18 years and are the third owners. In that time we drove it about 70,000 miles, mostly highway. It has 153,700 original miles. It was my daily driver for work for over 10 years, so it was well maintained and upgraded in many ways, the list is too long for here. This is a solid dependable driver, fly in, drive it home. (New quarter panels may not fit in the car unless the top is down.) Several manuals and extra parts will go with the car. Additional pictures and descriptions are available. Thanks for looking. A $500.00 non-refundable PayPal deposit is required within 24 hours of winning bid, with full payment within one week. We can talk about how the final payment is made, but the car doesn’t leave until all funds clear and the bank is happy. Pickup or shipping is your responsibility, but I’ll be happy to help with loading, etc. The car is also advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to end the auction early..Additional info, some of it may repeat the above description:Updates: front bushings (poly) & ball joints, rear lower new control arms & bushings (poly) & springs, four gas shocks, 1997original transmission was rebuilt in 1998u-joints and trans mount, 1999timing chain & heavy duty oil pump, 2004. As far as I know this is the only time the engine was ever opened up, other than changing valve cover gaskets (which needs to be done again)Water pump, starter, 160-degree thermostat & radiator, 2006-ish. New white top and pads, 2011. Power top motor and hydraulics are all good and operational, no leaks everNew chrome outline trim on dash, 1998The heater core was replaced shortly before we bought the car in 1996AGM battery, 2014Upgrades: front disc brakes, new spindles, newer upper poly bushings, 11-inch rear drums and new power master cylinder, all from Master Power Brakes, new 2005HEI distributor & wires (five-pin ignition module and variable spark module from '79 Eldorado), 2000, - I have the original points distributor 100 amp alternator, PS pump & brackets from '79 Eldorado, 1997, - I have the original alternator, PS pump and brackets air cleaner & cold air setup from '79 Eldorado, 2001 - I have the original. This is the only surgery on the car. I had to cut an oval hole in the radiator bulkhead for the cold air scoop underhood maxi-fuse & relay panel from '90s Olds 88, 1999 - used for lighting, ignition, ready for dual electric fans, etc dual 2.5 inch Flowmaster exhaust, 2004. I think the mufflers are 40-series. Pretty loud Halogen H4 headlight conversion, 2002 - low beams are 80/100 watts, high beams are 90/130, high beams are wired so both filaments come on together. No need for extra driving lights here. Water, oil, and volt gauges from a '90s Chevy van - they fit the opening and were a good inexpensive temporary measure while waiting to find correct factory gauges at a 'reasonable' price. Correct sport mirrors with driver's remote are included. I used power mirrors from a '90s Olds 88, which I thought looked a little better, not so sure now, and one broke when I installed them. Trunk and under hood lights. Has Gorilla locks on the wheels - all the lug nuts are locks.Extras to go with the car: I have a Fisher Body manual, a Service Manual and a build manual.Have the original User Manual.Have new, never installed seat backs and lower seat bases, molded in white, not paintedThings that need attention: The AC condenser doesn't work. It was like that when we bought it and we never fixed it. (It's a convertible)The sender for the oil gauge has a small leak - hardly any oil actually gets out but it is messy and the sender needs to be changed. Nothing exotic, 93-ish GM van sender available at any parts storeJust before I listed it, something happened to the floor shift cable. I haven't looked at it yet. The trans linkage is also connected by hard linkage to the steering column for lock and switches, so the trans can be shifted by turning the sleeve on the column until the cable is fixed. Hokey, but it works until it can be fixed properlyNeeds carpeting and insulation, was going to replace after paintUnderhood fuse panel needs some cosmetic cleanup. Or it could be changed back to stock. Note that the halogen headlights definitely need a relay and I use separate fuse/breakers for high & low beams because of the amp draw.As mentioned above and shown in pictures, the driver seat needs re-covering, others are optional.
