Vehicle Detail
Vin. 3AK04162156 Cylinder3 Speed Floor Shift68,945 Miles2 Wheel Drive Up for Auction 1941 Chevy Half Ton Pickup.A true barn find (seriously) from Portland Oregon, that is bone stock 100% original. There may be two spots on the hood where someone tried to spray the black accent stripes, but other than that, all original paint.Of course, and as you can see in the photos, most of the paint is faded out or gone, leaving the very cool look and appeal, this truck has. As we all know, the major concern with all collector vehicles is rust and this truck has 4 spots that can be considered rusted areas. Each running board has two small spots, (but not weak in structure) and there are two spots at the tail gate hinges. Oh yes, I forgot, someone also tried to spray paint the hinge areas in an attempt to cover these rusted areas (not very bad at all). Other than that, very very clean and straight. Doors open and shut very nicely, no sag at all. Windows roll like butter. Everything works but the gas gauge is intermittent. Hood hinges are very good, everything is very tight. I believe the interior to be all original and it is fabulous.New; Plugs, points, hoses, belt, battery, gas tank, fuel pump, carb re-build, tires, radiator, brakes. Runs like a Champ, smooth and straight, no wander, clutch very good, no brake pull, very very nice piece. 50 mph.The only real issue is the windshield crank out which is non functional, the gearing mechanism is stripped and I haven’t had time to get at it. Thai is a very original truck that has a very unique look, maybe not for everyone, but totally cool. I have pondered with the thought of clear coating right over what paint is left, but I think it may slick it up too much.Your call. I know you have all read this before but there are no disappointments with this one. The reserve is fair, no don’t ask me, please only bid if you if you have the money. Call me anytime if you have any at all questions, Billy 203 676-0890Yes, I would consider trades, old pickups, carry all’s, suburban’s, CJ’s, Cameo’s, etc. 48 hour deposit $1000.00, balance 7 days, truck is in New Haven CT.
