Vehicle Detail
I am a one man operation, a Metal sculpture (www.BenDyeScupture.com) that loves classic cars. In my travels I find interesting vehicles I feel are great opportunities for those how want an affordable classic ride. I found this 74 F100 at a local Charity auction, I trailer it home and replaced the fuel pump and battery. It runs amazing, easily traveling through the gears 3 gear in the reliable ford automatic. Gages work, turn signals and brake lights working great, The radiator has bright green fluid, the alternator is charging great! I found the oil change sticker on the interior of the windshield, at the time parked (2011) it was 300 miles into the 3000 mile oil change. I feel this vehicle started life as a forestry rig and was purchased and well loved by and older gentleman. This vehicle was well maintained as a daily drive not a garaged show truck. I will list all I found wrong with this truck, It has a wooden bed that will need a few boards replaced ( see photos) a couple of dents in the fenders, floors in the cab very solid. Seat has cover, original material torn. AM radio works with original speakers. Breaks are good, no noise in drive line or rear-end. Glass is OK, Grill looks good. When watching video, notice the passenger side exhaust leak, should not be a problem when you replace with headers. After driving this nice old Ford for a couple of hundred miles, I would jump in this truck drive it to Florida. That said, I am pre 80's truck driver. I carry tools and understand what it takes to drive those analog pre computer vehicles. Tires are nice. wildcat duel purpose tires with 90 % remaining tread. Nice aluminum rims on standard 5 on 5 Ford pattern. Disc break front. drum backs. After winning this auction the buyer will be responsible for picking up the vehicle or acquiring transportation. If you have question, please ask. I will help with setting up the transporter, I offer 2 weeks after auction storage. after that it is 75.00 a week. I do this because in the past, I have had buyers drag the deal on for years( yes! years!) the small storage fee, helps keep us all on task. Please ask all the questions you need to be comfortable with bidding on this vehicle before you bid, all bids are a binding agreement to buy. Thanks and good luck on your binding to buy a great old classic.
