Fun for the whole family! This unique 4 seater Volkswagen dune buggy is a fresh build that is nearly complete, and ready for your final touches! The body is made by Fiber-Jet in Roseville California and is atop a 1958 VW beetle chassis/pan. Motor is from a 1962 1200CC Beetle. The car runs great and drives well. I have gone through the whole car and it has tons of new parts. The brakes have been redone, every line, hose, wheel cylinders and the master cylinder and stops well. Front beam is from a 1959 so it has the slightly larger brakes. Fuel system is entirely new, as well as the electrical system. The car is 95% complete and could use a few final things- however, as it sits, its cheap and safe fun for the family. Just hop in, twist the key and enjoy this flashy, sparkly one of a kind dune buggy. Car is located in Loomis Cal., about 20 minutes north of Sacramento. There is no title on this car, however I have gone to the dmv with the plates and vin number, it is clean and clear and not in DMV system anymore, no back fees. I have DMV paperwork. The motor has a neat backround story. I bought it in Hercules Ca. from the previous stage-hand of the world famous band: "Green Day". When he worked for them in the late 90's. This stagehand bought it from lead-singer Billie Joe Armstrong when Billie was having his bug rebuilt.
