1971 Chevelle Convertible SS 4-Speed, 12 bolt Mulsanne blue with white stripes, white convertible power top Up for your consideration is this turn key 1971 Chevelle Super Sport, matching numbers Chevelle Super Sport Big Block Convertible, Muncie 4-Speed, 12 bolt posi with 3.31 gears. This Chevelle features a rebuilt Chevy 350 4-bolt main motor with a mild cam and a Muncie 4-Speed transmission. This Chevelle originally had a 402 cu in motor that has been professionally built with factory crank, rods and pistons, original heads with new stainless steel valves, Edelbrock Performer RPM cam and Edelbrock aluminum Performer RPM intake and is ready to go in the car with new headers. The SS dash is original and un-modified. I have a brand new AM/FM stereo I purchased that will go with the car. The original owners manual is in the glove box. The dash pad is original and needs replacing, but I will include another original one in perfect condition. The front seat covers have been replaced with factory replacements. The rear seats are original. The carpet was also replaced with a new carpet 5 years ago and the floor was painted before it was installed and the floor pans were in great condition. The gas gauge and speedometer both work and it has an aftermarket oil pressure and water temp mounted under the dash and an RPM gauge mounted on the steering column. It appears that both rear quarter panels were replaced many years ago as well as a new trunk pan and floor pans, but this car appears straight and true. The bumpers are in excellent condition and the trim is also very nice. I just replaced the fuel pump and starter. The battery is two years old and it works great. The car is NOT perfect and is being sold as is, where is in running and driving condition, I drive it to car shows and on day trips, I would drive this Chevelle anywhere. The matching number 396 (402 cubic inch) engine will be included with the sale. As are some other parts I picked up the car. I am only selling this car to purchase an RS/SS 396 Camaro. If I do not sell it, I will gladly keep it. The NADA book value is around $47,000 with the big block installed. Own this collector muscle car for much less and enjoy it as is and save the matching numbers engine or transplant the big block in it.
