Vehicle Detail
1972 Buick Sport Wagon, 350 4bbl v8 engine, auto trans, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning. The interior is in decent shape, driver's seat torn, but rest good. All glass is good including windshield- no cracks found. Radio is missing and looks to have had opening enlarged for aftermarket radio maybe? Dash does have crack in top pad, otherwise all gauges and trim are intact and look good. The rear seat folds down for access to rear, inside tailgate panels are off, but included. Rear view mirror is day/night version. The body is in decent shape considering- front fenders have rust as do rear quarters. All 4 doors are solid, open and close very nicely, floor pans are also very solid, do not appear to be rusted out. Tailgate is the style that opens hinged in the right side or folds down like a truck tailgate. Looks to be good shape, no rust holes along bottom. The wagon rear center floor does have some soft spots, frame appears to be very solid- not rust that I saw right off. Has the rare optional roof rack and rear window deflector. The hood has the functional ram air style scoops in it and looks to be good shape. The grill is broken out, otherwise the exterior is pretty decent. All the wagon specific parts appear to be intact and usable. Engine is the original 350 4 barrel and turns over by hand-not stuck. I have not tried to start the car as I haven't found the key yet. All components look to be in place, and apparently it was running when parked. Transmission is an automatic, rear axle appears stock and should be a posi according to online sources. I've included a pic of the tag, so welcome any input from the 'pros'. Please ask any questions and I'll try to answer them as soon as possible. Car is sold as is where is BILL OF SALE ONLY, NO TITLE. Sold for parts although a title could be applied for. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of end of auction. Buyer is responsible for picking up car- I can help with loading. I can store the car here after sale for short time- buyer must contact for arrangements within 48 hrs. Please do not bid if you don't intend on completing the sale- don't waste my time or yours! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! On Aug-22-14 at 19:29:15 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE; I had a chance to get a key made off the door lock and it works fine in the ignition. I used a spare good battery I had and the engine cranked over, but didn't start. I'm guessing with some fresh gas in the carb it would probably start. I few more details that have been asked; the front brakes are power disc brakes, the Buick rally wheels are 14" and all 4 center caps are intact, and the car does have factory cruise control. I'll try to get the tag #'s off the rear axle as I've had a few people say it should be a low geared posi rear end and I'd like to verify if it is. Thanks
