Vehicle Detail
This is a great original 1975 RM125 that was going to be a project bike for restoration. It is a mostly complete and original survivor and a great starting point for a rider or complete restoration. It has all the components from the Suzuki optional "Hop-Up Kit" including the cylinder, NOS thin ring piston, NOS carb spacer, NOS intake, new Mikuni 34mm carb, NOS airbox tube, optional "Kit" airbox NOS ignition hanger bracket, NOS "kit" throttle cable and dust cover and the "Kit" cone downpipe. The pipe has been partially professionally restored to remove some dents. The stinger section is a little rough at the gussets and can be cleaned up with some work. The silencer was missing so I installed a perfect 1976 RM125 silencer which was the same as the 1975 and welded it on like the original. The bottom end has not been apart. The ignition cover and sprocket cover are there and intact. Rims, hubs and spokes are in great shape and I installed new Cheng Shin tires front and back. If any of you have checked, the fronts are no longer available and the rears in this size are not either. These are the Metzeler copies from back in the day and are the only tire still marked in inches rather than metric. Controls are original except for the grips. Handlebars are Vintage Suzuki period copies. Tank looks good but is soft on top. I have another good tank that will be included with the sale. The seat is original with metal base, foam and cover. The cover had been ripped at the seams and sewed up. I have a new Pit Replica brand seat cover that goes with the sale and it is the only correct cover for this bike. Front fender is great and with the original mud flap. rear fender needs paint but has not been folded or creased. Side panels are also in very good condition. Shocks are very good. Overall this bike is in very good condition for 40 years old. If there are any questions you have or need more photos please email me and I will get you what you need. If you are in the LA area and want to see it in person let me know. I am in Simi Valley. I have restored 4 of these over the past few years and this is one of the better starters that I have come across, and to have all the "Hop-Up Kit" components makes it an even more rare bike thanjust the 1/2 year production first RM model ever made. I am just not going to be doing any more bike restorations so it needs to go to someone to finish it as a rider or show bike. There is no pink or title and it is not in the DMV system. I will provide a Bill of Sale. Milage listed is 100, but only because the field needs to be filled. No idea how many miles are on it.It is an Off Road Bike and does not have an odometer of coarse. I will hold the bike for up to two weeks, upon payment in full, so that you can arrange for shipping. I will aid in shipping any way I can.
