I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS "G" BUT MY BODY SHOP GUY CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE JOB FOR NOW, WE STRIPPED OUT OF THE MOLDING TO SHOW THE DAMAGE, AS YOU CAN SEE IT NEED EXTENSIVE BODY WORK, PICTURES TALK FROM THEMSELVES. You are bidding on a 1985 Mercedes 280GE Gelaendewagen. As usual I had to make it a 1980 model for the eBay system to accept the actual VIN. Off the road since 2012 and not in driving condition. This was my trusty companion for 5 years but it is just a parts car at this point. Clean Florida title. Truck last ran and drove in 2012 and will not start without gas being squirted in the throttle body. It may be the bad gas or a problem with the fuel distributor. New fuel lines, filter and pressure regulator were installed in 2011 and the fuel pump was checked for proper operation. At this point I do not have the bandwidth to diagnose the problem further and with a heavy heart I am offering this vehicle for sale. Recent work: Front differential rebuild in 2008. Flex pipe exhaust pipe (stainless) 2008. Shift linkage rebuild 2007. Rear differential cover replaced in 2010. New fuel filter and pressure regulator in 2011. New matching door locks and 2 keys from M/B to match VIN ($700!) in 2010. New front rotors and rebuilt calipers were installed in 2011. New cam followers were installed in 2007. This truck has a very desirable WARN 9000 lbs. winch on a modified bumper. Rear jump seats from another truck are currently installed, but I have the cover panels you need if you remove them. The roof rack is custom made from square steel tubing with alloy mounts . This truck has the center transmission with optional PTO.
