1951 FORD F1 PICKUP TRUCK. I BUILT THIS TRUCK TO KEEP FOREVER AND ROAD TRIP ALL AROUND WITH, I WOULD LIKE TO PAY OFF SOME DEBT, SO REGRETFULLY I WILL SELL IT. I HAVE DRIVEN THIS TRUCK TO BONNEVILLE FOR SPEED WEEK TWICE FROM MY HOME IN DENVER, ONCE TO CHICAGO FROM HOME, MOST RECENTLY TO DURANGO COLORADO FROM HOME, WHICH INVOLVED 10 OR SO MOUNTAIN PASSES SOME AT OVER 10,000 FEET ABOVE SEA LEVEL, AND VARIOUS OTHER ROAD TRIPS CLOSER TO HOME, IT HAS BEEN MY DAILY DRIVER TO WORK AND BACK AS WELL. DRIVES STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD AND RIDES EXTREMELY WELL FOR AN OLD TRUCK DUE TO ALL THE CARE IN SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY, PLEASE READ ALL THE DETAILS. I HAVE SO MUCH TIME AND EFFORT INTO THIS TRUCK, I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO JUMP IN AND DRIVE ANYWHERE AT ANYTIME. THE POSI REAR GOES IN SNOW WITH NO WEIGHT IN THE BED,THE 3:54 GEARS WITH THE MUSTANG T5 MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO OVER REV THE FLATHEAD, FASTLANE HIGHWAY ALL DAY LONG, RUNS COOL AS A CUCUMBER, THE L100 CAM AND THE UNCLE MAX 97S GIVE IT PLENTY OF POWER FOR STEEP MOUNTAIN PASSES. THE PATINA IS LIKE NOTHING YOU CAN BUY,MANY COATS OF FADED PAINT ALL WORN TOGETHER, MAKES FOR A DRIVER YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT USING AND SCRATCHING OR DINGING UP.NEEDS NOTHING, JUST GET IN AND GO..TURN KEY,PUSH BUTTON.WOULD MAKE A NICE BONNEVILLE PUSH TRUCK FOR A VINTAGE LAKES ROADSTER OR BELLYTANK. BODY:CAB IS QUITE STRAIGHT, CORNERS ARE SOILD, NO RUST IN FLOOR , FIREWALL WAS DRILLED FULL OF RANDOM HOLES, WHICH I JUST WELDED PATCHES INTO FROM THE INSIDE , I WANTED A WEATHERPROOF CAB, I USED STOCK HOLES FOR WIRING WITH NEW GROMMETS AND DRILLED NEW IF NEEDED WITH GROMMETS. USED TO HAVE CAB ROOF LIGHTS, I DIDN’T WANT TO DISTURB THE PATINA SO I SILICONED THE HOLES, DOORS ARE GOOD , NO RUST OR DENTS , ALL NEW GLASS EXCEPT FOR THE WING WINDOWS , NEW FRONT AND BLACK GLASS RUBBER , NEW DOOR RUBBER , NEW FUZZY CHANNELS ON DOOR GLASS. DOOR LOCK HAS BEEN KEYED AS WELL SO TRUCK LOCKS UP. ALL FENDERS HAVE THEIR SHARE OF DINGS AND RUST, ALL ARE EASILY SAVABLE THOUGH , HOOD IS FINE , GRILLE HAS SOME DAMAGE IN THE CENTER TOOTH AND BAR HAS PUSH DENT , GRAVEL PAN IS DENTED UP A BIT , BED SIDES ARE STRAIGHT AND POCKETS ARE GOOD , I REPAIRED THE RUSTED LOWER FRONT OF THE FRONT PANEL WITH HEAVY GAUGE STEEL TO HOLD THE BOARDS IN, TAILGATE AND BED SIDE TOPS ARE BATTERED BUT LOOK THE PART , NEW TAILGATE HINGES , NEW WOOD IS CEDAR STAINED A GUNSTOCK COLOR AND POLYURETHANED ALTHOUGH IT‘S SHOWING SOME WEAR , NEW REPRODUCTION 50 PONTIAC TAILLIGHTS WITH GLASS LENSES. RUNNING BOARDS ARE BATTERED A BIT BUT NOT TOO BAD. THE WHOLE BODY MATCHES ITSELF IN ONE COHESIVE FADED FIELD TRUCK LOOK, MANY COATS OF FADED PAINT, NEEDS NOTHING IN MY OPINION, LOOKS GREAT. INTERIOR:I WANTED THIS TO LOOK LIKE A FORTIES CUSTOM INTERIOR. MATERIALS ARE ENGLISH PUB BLUE AND IVORY VINYL, BLACK LOOP PILE CARPET AND SINGLE STAGE URETHANE PAINT. CUSTOM ENGINE TURNED ALUMINUM GUAGE PANELS FOR SW GAUGES UNDER DASH, OIL PRESSURE AND ONE TEMP GAUGE PER CYLINDER HEAD, ANOTHER PANEL FOR A SUN TACH , IT’S A 4 CYLINDER TACH SO IT READS DOUBLE, HAS A COOL GREEN BACKLIGHT, TACH IS SORT OF FLAKEY WHEN IT GETS WARM THOUGH. GAS TANK PROFESIONALY CLEANED, GAS GAUGE WORKS PERFECT, SOLID STATE VOLTAGE DROP FOR GAUGES, PARK BRAKE WORKS GOOD , NEW REPOP GAS PEDAL AND RUBBER BOOT. CAB INSIDE IS WEATHER TIGHT AND COZY.
