Vehicle Detail
Beautiful daily driver 1963 Studebaker Lark Regal with recent driver quality refresh! Upgraded Turner disc brakes in the front, new shocks & springs, new tires, new rear main seal, new diff seal, recent tune up, new ignition, reupholstered seats, new carpet kit, new all weather mats, nice clean engine bay. Check out all my pictures at http://imgur.com/a/PKZRv This car is ready to get in and drive today! Always garaged since refresh by previous owner. Previous owner did a respray and cut out some rust and welded in new metal on the driver front fender behind the wheel and the passenger door threshold. The respray looks really good but is definitely "driver quality." It looks stunning from a distance but as you get closer, it is evident the paint has imperfections. Don't expect this to be show room quality, but do expect it to look good for a daily driver. Check out the pictures of the engine bay, really clean! Cooling system works perfectly. Heater works. Three on the tree with working overdrive. Glass is all in great shape with just a few minor knicks on the front windscreen. No AC. No stereo from factory. Interior is really nice, reupholstered seats look gorgeous. New carpet kit looks really nice, although not original nor high quality. Headliner is original with no sagging and looks great for it's age, with only a 1" tear and 3 screw sized holes. Door cards are original, look pretty tired but in great shape for the age, and do not need replacing unless you are restoring. New plastics on door thresholds. Rear seats are missing arm rests which are evident from mounting holes, window cranks present and working. Dash has cracks but comes with custom dash cover that does not move around. Some minor surface rust in the trunk and a touch of surface rust on bottom of driver door, nothing eating through. If I were to keep it, I would replace the weatherstripping to cut down on road noise. Also, the driver window is hard to roll down, possibly needs a new regulator. The speedo has an intermittent problem where it goes wonkers and thinks you're going much faster, and is evident with the sound of plastic gears not meshing correctly, probably happens about 30-40% of the time. Also has a very minor oil leak, will drip once or twice after a drive, looks like it might just be a valve cover gasket, but has been too minor for me to bother with. These are all the negatives I can think of on this car. Most of the work was done by the PO with receipts for the parts and code for the paint. Since in my possession earlier this year, I've only had to rekey the door locks and replace the ignition, otherwise I drive it 2-3 days a week. Need to sell to make room as my second child starts driving next month and we are shopping for her first car. Mileage on 5 digit odo is 65670. I have no way to verify actual mileage, but seems safe to say that it hasn't rolled the odo more than once, if at all. Again, I don't know that to be fact. Please ask me any questions you might have before bidding. Winning bidder must submit a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of end of auction. Car will be released when remaining amount is paid in cash, bank to bank transfer or cleared cashier's check.I've done my best to make an honest and clear description of the car, but this vehicle is sold as is with no warranty expressed written or implied.
