I have had the pleasure of having and riding this bike for the last 3 years.The bike:1996 Honda VT1100C (Shadow)Mileage: 18,750The VT1100C is a great first time bike. Blessed with 1100CC there is plenty of power to survive Chicagoland traffic, cruise, or get an amazing rush when you twist the throttle. While moving along it is good to be seen too! Mounted on this motorcycle you will find Kuryakyn Constellation driving lights with turn signals and matching Kuryakyn Silver Bullet license plate mounted LED turn signals. All the appropriate relays and load resistors were also installed to insure proper operation and that you don't drain your battery.Speaking of the battery. Instead of a lead and acid battery (read leaks and hassle), you will find a Yuasa HYB16A-AB Sealed Battery. That is a gel cell battery with the storage capacity and amperage to insure a good start every time.A good battery is nice, but if you live in Illinois, you have to store the bike eventually. To insure that the battery doesn't get damaged in the harsh mid-west deep freezes, there is also a quick connect for the included monitor/trickle charger.The best part is that the carburetors were completely rebuilt and tuned by Nielsen Enterprises in Lake Villa, IL. I paid (dearly) to have a Honda trained service technician rebuild and tune the dual carbs. At the same time I replaced all four spark plugs with the OEM plugs. Sound: The original Honda pipes popped a leak right after I got it. I solved the problem with the sweet sound of a set of Cobra Slash Cuts.
