Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby Tribute with a 302 Engine and a 4Spd Manual Transmission! This is an an original J-Code mustang that came with this configuration from the factory. The mustang was then built in Tribute of the Shelby brand with several body modifications, engine modifications, and interior modifications. I purchased this 3 years ago from a California seller and it has never seen rain or snow since the rebuild was completed. Always garaged and only driven on dry pavement. Adult owned, never abused, always taken good care of. I have done very little to the car other than replace the driver and passenger side door and window seals, replace the carb, and changed the oil and plugs. We have driven it all over Colorado and it has always been a strong runner and very reliable! Engine fires right up and runs smooth, transmission shifts thru all gears as it should, and clutch still feels new. When I purchased it the motor had just been rebuilt and a new clutch installed. Most of the Chrome was also replaced during the build as well. The interior is in very good condition and it sports the center console with the roller style cubby, the upper console with map lights, Shelby style steering wheel with a working horn, and shelby style dash bezel and emblems. The Carroll Shelby signature on the dash is said to be authentic but I never bothered with checking into that. The stereo has an aux input, 4 speakers, and an amp and it sounds nice. I would classify this car as a daily driver, but it truly is a major eye catching machine! Every where I go I get lots of compliments on it's looks and how awesome it sounds!! The 4Spd tranny is the only way to fly in my opinion, it really makes for a fun drive down a curvy country road. I have not seen any concern with rust and it did come out of California. I truly love this car and it has been an absolute blast to own over the last 3 years. I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early should I have a cash buyer. If you would like any more details please do not hesitate to ask. If you would like any additional pictures email me and I will be happy to send them over. The only things I can think of that are of issue are the blinkers must be turned off manually (which I understand is an easy fix), and the ALT Gauge does not seem to work. All other gauges work, the heater unit, duct work, and fan were all replaced during the rebuild and work great. Even the manual pump windshield washers work! There are a few minor flaws/scratches in the paint from normal use but it still shines very nice! Again, if you have any questions I am happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge, I am definitely no mechanic but I can tell you that I have no concern with the drive train of this vehicle, it runs fantastic and sounds just as good! NO RESERVE!! Bidding starts at $200.00 and I have a buy-it-now price of $20K. The local asking price is the same as the buy-it-now so everyone has a fair shot to win, you can put in your best bid, or if you don't want to wait you can click buy-it-now and end the auction. I have a clear Colorado Title in my name. I will only accept guaranteed funds for the balance owed after the deposit. I prefer a bank wire transfer. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, I am happy to assist on my end in any way I can. Happy Bidding!
