THE BODY AND TRIM As I hope is articulated in the many photos here, the exterior of this 1983 Mercedes Benz is in excellent to superb 99.99 % rust-free condition throughout. Minor imperfections to this stunning example include some fading on the alloy wheels, some minor scrapes/scratches around the rear boot from removal of hard top along with a few very minor rock nicks. Overall this is an extremely nice, just shy of concourse, driver-quality-example that will garner attention everywhere you drive! THE INTERIOR The interior of this 1983 Benz is in very good to excellent original condition throughout! It features beautiful seat upholstery front and rear, COLD A/C, pristine original carpeting, beautiful door panels, nice headliners on both hard and soft tops, upgraded CD stereo. Imperfections inside the car include some wear on the leather upholstery, two or three heat cracks on the dash top, some beginning of cracking on the center console wood and small electrical gremlin in the blinker switch Overall this is one very cool classic well-preserved cockpit! THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This classic Benz starts, runs, shifts, brakes and handles very well. The 3.8 liter V8 engine has fairly strong acceleration, the transmission up and downshifts crisply, the brakes are excellent with great pedal feel and the car has a wonderful suspension free of any clunks or rattles. To make this car perform even closer to perfect new I suggest an alignment and tire rotation to aleviate a barely perceptible highway shimmy.
