THE OVERVIEW Offered for an appreciating new owner is this classic 1979 Mercedes Benz 450SL Roadster! Finished in black over saddle leather interior, this 1979 SL is one of FIVE SL/SLCs I have available. I am open to offers for two or more and would love to sell them as a bulk lot. With that said, this 1979 runs but just barely with a loud rod knock. I have not driven it. It is being sold with clear and clean California title in hand, it has the factory hard top with quite nice black canvas soft top. It has the chromed factory 14" wheels with some pitting and older rubber. The odometer shows almost 178,000 miles. The car has basically been sitting since 2006 with expired registration but clean title. It has the factory top removal tool, missing stereo, decent leather interior and electric windows. As I hope is articulated in the photos, the black paint on the body is presentable and could of course use a good polish after sitting outside. The leather is a bit worn with nice door panels and dash cover and carpets. This is a great fixxer upper or parts car for one of the others.
