Up for Sale is my daughters 2003 Audi TT convertible WITH CUSTOM FRONT END, LIKE THE NEWER TT`S! Led aftermarket front head lights, lots of money, but really makes the car PoP. This was my daughters car, 22 yrs old, I am selling it for her. She lost her job in Florida and had to return home, and dad steped in to protect her credit and our reputation with the bank. Before she left about 11 months ago, I her father wanted it the best I could get it. I have a lot of money into this car. thousands I will not get back, our lose your gain. I got well over 12k in the car. The NADA retail book is still aprox 9,595 with options and sport package, etc. Now it is not in my mind not perfect, nor new, or mint or excellent, etc..it is I feel worth at least what we are asking, and more. It is a used car over ten years old, again you be the judge. I know my bank will loan 9k on it, no problem, so do the math guys. Please take into the fact it has normal wear and tear , some or more, depending on your opion. If you want a perfect car you will have to buy a new one. I put over 1600 in it not counting the top or brakes just in the last two weeks to get ready to sell on ebay, so I don't want any complaints etc. I want who ever ends up with the TT to enjoy it and realize they got a nice car for the money ready to drive and safe. NEW black TOP, 4 NEW TIRES! & MORE,CUSTOM FRONT END LIKE THE NEW ONES, BUT COOLER, LED LIGHTS ALONE WERE LIKE 268 EACH... The car is being sold "as is, where is" no returns, no adjustments, I urge you to ask questions, come see it, or have it inspected. I have had in the shop twice in the last two weeks, getting it ready to the best I could afford. I will not spend any more money on it. You should be ready to roll. I have been on here a long time, bought and sold many cars, boats, etc..I know what its like to not get something you thought it was, or that. So I will try and explain the car the best I can, and be honest with you buyers , and will help with shipping at buyers expense if I can. I am disabled father/retired Merchant Marine/ Master Captain. This could be a nice second car for a family or a great daily driver for a daughter or son, it is pretty cool, and priced to sell. I will tell you the work and attention it has gotten in the last year or less and what I know about it. Audi has after market newer style front end, and new headlights with LEDS inside, very cool look! See pictures. The car has a few scratchs I would consider more than normal, but hard to see. The seat driver seat bottom is shot, and needs recovered. Thus is why it has seat cover on it which is newly added this week. The heated seats work fine and as they should. Put new drive axel on it last week too, just after adding 4 new tires last week. Had a little shaking at around 60 mph..I thought it was the front tires, decided to put 4 on to sell it. Was not the tires that still had 50% tread left..Anyway my lose your gain, you got 4 new tires, balanced , and 4 wheel alignment with receipt to prove it. I took the car to a European specialist and they were the ones that explain the left axle needed replaced, so I did. It runs and rides down the road at 80 to100 with out any shaking, or swaying, she drives straight, even with no hands. I am very impressed with this car..I promise you, on the highway she rides like a dream and then some. Positives: But not limited to? Put 20.00 dollars in the gas tank and drive all week, super good gas milage around town 28, and on the highway, average 32+ I calculated. Custom Fiberglass front end, with LED lights over 1700.00 New top about a year ago. (Over 1k and not part of any of my numbers below) There is NO Rust on this car , none on door panels, under the hood, no were that I can see. Remarkable really. We have owned it for two years, she was org I believe a texas car. 4 new tires and alignment, just done this week! New drive axel and CRV boot thing. Entire car was repainted a year ago.. New timing belt and other parts done in Florida, daughter paid 900.00 in Oct. Tie Rod ends replaced too. New coil packs, and plugs this week too, tuned up again. New rotors and brakes, Look like new, belts, battery, hoses, etc. done last year before she left for Florida. not more than aprox 8k miles on top and these parts. Air blows cold, original stereo works, and yes we do have the code to the stereo, very important if you don't get it with any audi you buy! New top aprox 11 months ago, top goes up and down as it should, works great. Spare tire and Jack/OEM and extra full size tire. I put over 1,600 hundred in the car to get it ready to sell in last 2weeks or so, it had set for 6 months. The car should pass inspection with out any major issues, or any issue, in my opinion, depending on your state I can not guarantee anything. But I have had two mechanics look at her, and they had it on the lift.. Car drives and sounds as it should, no motor noise, and shifts great, you can manual shift it too, if you like. Car has ABS brakes too, and heated seats! Traction Control also. Had to replace a sensor thing to get the abs light off, so no worries there. Replaced both power window switch's, all working now. Radio works, and all inside lights. Headlights and tail lights and brake lights all work and checked out last week. New brake light switch installed then too. Bose option, with spoiler on trunk, and sport package I believe as well, and so on. Negatives: But not limited to? and not really negative. This might seem like a lot, but it is not, I just nit picked it for you, and kept it honest. I drove the car today and enjoyed every minute of it. The Audi turns heads! Looks awesome. Since day one, the convertible top light on the dash remained on, but when the top is down it goes off!!. I can email pics to prove it, no big deal..for if you know how these work, you have to turn a handle to lock down the top, if its not locked the handle don't turn, so naturally it is locked in place once you turn the handle, it is a no brainer knowing it is locked into place, so I don't know why the light stays on when top is up. Like I said you have to manually pull down the top the last 3 inchs, and trun the handle anyway to lock it. that's the factory OEM instructions right on the top of the visor instructions. And the airbag light stays on now after sitting for six months. We couldn't find any mal fuction with the system when checked with the computer thing, Note: air bags are installed and have not been touched and believed to be working if needed. Didn't bother us, I was told there is a 40 dollar ECU mod thing that should solve it, or it may just go back out on its own? I would drive it for a month and see what it does personally. The center of digital part of the center of dash, fads in and out, you can still see it, but gets faint sometimes, I say sometimes it looks about 70%. or pretty much stays at 70%. Note: this is pretty normal on most audi tt convertibles after a few years, I guess moisture gets to em, if you check other 2000 to 2005 tt`s on Ebay you will see others on ebay doing the same thing. I just mentioned it here, and most sellers don't if you read there auctions and then look at the dash pics..lol. So unless your worried about the outside temp etc, and seeing it 100% don't worry about it, u can still read everything fine. Was that way when we bought it two years ago and still is, and has not gotten worse.. the rest of the dash is crystal clear!! see picture! ....You can get them on ebay rebuilt anywhere from 130 to 150 bucks if you want to have yours serviced or replaced. Its a common issue, and does not effect anything!. with these audi convertibles. Again I wouldn't worry about it, and sure wouldn't fix it. Also: The Top DOES NOT LEAK, EITHER!! no cracks in dash either! Left window trim at top of door panel has been repaired for it was coming lose. Cant really tell, unless you look close, just not perfect, see pic of door and window. This winter I put a few scratch's on it, knocking off some snow, with a stupid plastic snow shovel the car got back to me in February, and it snowed before I could get into the garage. Most should buff out, again see pictures, there is one scratch about a inch long that I know wont. I have a jar of paint if I can find it, I will give it to you for your own touch up if you chose to. THE PICTURES ARE CURRENT, SO please , I am only stating everything I can, so you have no surprises'..l have no more time to mess with this car, I have to pay off the loan and find it a new owner who can afford it. There is a 24 dollar modular thing my mechanic said that is under the seat that controls the power fuel door and truck remote. I personally think it just needs some w-d40 and it will work fine, for it did when I put it in the basement. Right now I am using the manual way..the switch was tested and is hot, and when the mechanics put it on the pc last week, he said it needs convenience modular that is about 24 bucks..just you got to remove stuff to get to it, and I cant bend over to do it..he wanted 125 bucks to do it which included the part. See the pictures. There is some small paint spider cracking most are hair line about a 1/2 inch long around the front grill again nothing major and you have to look hard to see them. Again it is not perfect, but again it is a NICE TT and ready to drive. Below book value !.. you could spend 10, 15 , 20, 25k, 45, 65k for one that overall looks the same. All depends on what you want it for.. if your 18 to 40, you will love the car! I was going to price it higher considering all I have done, but I need to move it asap. Well I have tired to be honest and truthful, I want you to be happy with the car, and let you know what I see and know. We changed the oil every 3k miles and have kept up with the car , she has only put about 8k miles on it since she bought it. Does not burn oil!!! we have owned it for 2yrs and car runs like a bird, a fast bird if you give it the gas, I couldn't believe it!! Any Concerns just call me, will be happy to explain or tell you what I know. Your are getting a nice audi tt, it is not new, but just needs a little TLC, or drive it as is, your still good to go!!! I made sure of that.. I have done the big stuff....I think it will make someone a great little car. I know my daughter has begged me to keep it. I can afford to keep it and must pay off the loan.
