Vehicle Detail

This 1986.5 Porsche 928 has had the engine replaced with a GM ZZ4 Crate Engine and was my daily driver for several years until my circumstances changed such that I had to drive over 100 miles per day. I parked it about two years ago and switched to a more fuel efficient car. This Porsche was getting around 16 or 18 MPG. Most everything worked when the vehicle was parked: Power Locks, Power Windows, Power Seats, CD Player (although one side would occasionally go out because of a poor connection in the harness), all the gauges work: Speed, Tach, Oil Pressure, Temp, Fuel and Geer Selection ("D" does not light up, which is pretty typical on this model and is a relatively easy fix). This sunroof was seldom used and overtime started to bind so it will most likely need to be lubed or fixed. Engine accessories are all readily available GM parts such as alternator, AC Compressor and Power Steering pump. The engine is fueled by an Edelbrock Carb utilizing the factory fuel return. The car set a long time and only started occasionally to ensure that nothing is seized up so the fuel will probably need to be flushed and replaced. I would assume that the carb will need to be cleaned. The battery is also dead. Exterior Condition: Both the passanger side front fender and driver side rear fender had parking lot dings that were fixed and are in primer. There is also a spot on the rear bumper where the paint started to delaminate. Other than that her body is very straight. I've always liked the looks of 928s so I've kept it looking original. Interior Condition: I've seen 2 and 3 year old cars in worth shape than this one. When I got the car it had a cracked dash so the dash was stripped and redone. The leather is in good shape with a few scratches here and there but is otherwise in good shape. This car was a lot of fun to drive- ZZ4s put out in the neighborhood of 350HP. The transmission shifted smoothly although it did have a whine, most likely related to a torque tube that was replaced with aftermarket bearings but I could be wrong. It's possible that it can be driven away with a new battery and fresh fuel but considering how long it set would recommend that it's towed away and properly serviced first. It's hard to think of everything at once when it comes to this car so please ask questions, I'll try to answer them all. Please note: I do not know what the true miles are on this car. I've entered 100K becuase ebay requires that mileage is listed and my guess is that it's well under 100K miles. Thanks and good luck. As I suspected- it took filling the carb with fresh fuel and a jump start to get her going. Here is the video : http://youtu.be/xm5ESTpM5Ks
