Vehicle Detail

This is a really fun rat rod '57 Dodge 2dr post. Very cool original patina. We bought this Coronet in Tucson, Arizona 8-10 years ago. Rebuilt 325 V8 with a rebuilt 4 bbl carburetor and a rebuilt TorqueFlight transmission from a 1957 Chrysler New Yorker so the trans is liquid cooled, not air cooled as original. New water pump, fuel pump, redone radiator, rebuilt starter etc, etc.New power brakes and new tires.New dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. New windshield. Nice body. Running and driving car. There is some lifter noise but driving the car might quiet them down, it has been 10-15 years since the engine was rebuilt and it has been sitting unused until now. The Dodge had been parked for many years before we got it up and going again just recently. We've done a very nice dark blue vinyl and cloth original style interior, including; new door and rear panels, front and rear seats, carpet, headliner, sunvisors and package tray. Not a lot of options on this car but the factory original radio still works! The body is super solid, and with the original paint there is nothing to hide. The only rust is in the outer rocker skins, but new skins are included. There was floor pan rust below the left rear side window that was repaired before we bought the Dodge and I think it was not a really high quality repair. There is fiberglass in the trunk floor.Overall this is a very charming 1957 Dodge and it is ready to go as it sits now.We have been in the classic car restoration business for almost 30 years and have excellent mechanics, upholsterers and body and paint guys who could perform work on the car before shipping if desired. We can help arrange shipping anywhere in the country or World, we have shipped and exported more cars in the last 28 years then almost any classic car business in the US! We load containers headed to Sweden and Scandinavia from our 25,000sf restoration shop in downtown Phoenix every month.A deposit of $1000 is due within 48 hours of the close of auction and the balance is due within seven days of the close of auction. Please feel free to send any and all questions and please ask questions before bidding on the car.We sold this Dodge to a local collector not as a restored car but as a super charming Rat Rod kind of car but he has now fallen in love with a 1932 Buick and asked us to sell the Dodge on his behalf. The reserve is very low!!! On Jul-22-14 at 16:25:25 PDT, seller added the following information: We have received a lot of questions regarding the Dodge and if we have a buy it now price, what our reserve is etc. As anyone knows who has been working on an old car it gets really expensive when you start rebuilding an engine, transmission, carb, radiator, do a new interior, new brakes, new tires, glass etc. I'm sure we spent way over $10.000 plus the initial cost of the car and the reserve is A LOT lower than that. As a matter of fact the bidding is already close to the reserve so keep up the good work and please let this charming Dodge see time on the road again!
