WATCH TO THE END FOR A TEST DRIVE! If you're looking at this listing then there isn't much for us to tell you that you don't already know. The Z06 has raised the bar for Corvette performance and sports cars in general. With 385 horsepower and nearly 30mpg, it delivers an unbeatable combination of power and economy. This one has clearly led a pampered existence that shows both inside and out. We just picked it up at a U.S. Marshall's auction so some criminal's loss is going to be your gain. Don't let it worry you though, their ill gotten gains were apparently spent wisely to take good care of this car! GM wisely includes its three-mode (active, competitive, and off) second-generation Active Handling system on the Z06, working in conjunction with the FE4 suspension (larger front anti-roll bar, stiffer rear leaf springs, and revised camber settings). This makes the Z remarkably tossable and highly capable on the track, without inducing a jarring highway ride. We were contacted by the original owner who told us the car has also had a mild performance tune. It should be putting out around 440 horsepower! There's also a "Callaway" logo underneath the exhaust exit so maybe the exhaust is updated? All we know is this car sounds fantastic and really HAULS plus even the tires are in great shape. With only 37k actual miles, this car is barely broken-in! It hasn't been beat on or ragged out either. We didn't notice anything that doesn't work just like it should. The fixed roof coupe design of the Z06 really makes it stand out from its lesser siblings. Best of all, since we're RV dealers and generally don't sell cars too often, we're going to list this 'vette with a NO RESERVE! Bid to win because the high bidder will own this car at the end of the auction no matter how many THOUSANDS BELOW BOOK VALUE that final bid may be!!! Corvette Z06 Road Test Name one way a great car can become instantly greater. Simple: more horsepower. Even with the bite provided by its monster tires, launching this rocket required a cool head and a gentle toe. At just 2000 rpm, torque easily overwhelmed available traction and made us wish for drag slicks. With just the right amount of clutch and throttle feathering, the Z06 will fire off four-second runs to 60 all day long and will consistently hit 100 mph in less than 9.5 sec. Yet for all its dragstrip-worthy acceleration, it offers brakes and suspension that make it a legit sports car-one of just a few built in America. It draws looks, turns heads, and if its exceptional performance potential is exercised in the wrong places, it'll easily create enough speed-trap revenue to balance the budget of any midsize police department. Among other things, pure sports cars have a superior power-to-weight ratio. For this max-performance Corvette, that means squeezing even more juice from GM's standard all-aluminum Gen III small-block V-8. This ensures that chassis balance and overall weight stay virtually the same as before. The Corvette's base LS1 and the 385-hp LS6 share the same displacement, bore and stroke, deep-skirt block, cross-bolted mains, internally balanced crank, and thirst for premium (19 city/28 highway). But there's an electrifying difference as pedal meets wood. Providing that higher voltage is a host of air/fuel mixture tricks straight from the hot-rod handbook: a higher-lift cam, lighter valves, stronger valve springs, a special composite intake manifold teamed with a low-restriction air cleaner and mass airflow sensor, and a big increase in exhaust-flow capacity. If you want all 385, you don't have a transmission or body-style choice. You can only stir these extra horses with the six-speed manual, and the Z06 comes only as a hardtop. If you desire the added comfort and sleeker looks of the glass-hatch Coupe or the fresh air aspect of the Convertible, you'll have to settle for the standard LS1's 350 hp. The Z06 certainly sounds racetrack ready. The regular Corvette's friendly burble is largely absent from this model's lightweight titanium tailpipes. In its place is a raw, slightly frenetic V-8 noise. Blipping the throttle once ends most street challenges, at least from savvy drivers who may not have seen the fender badges, but recognize the evil vocals of a tightly wound small-block. Sports cars also have nimble handling, precise steering, and powerful, fade-free brakes; ride comfort is almost always compromised for the sake of these gains. Two of the most important factors in the fifth-generation Corvette's awesome handling and precise steering are its exceptionally rigid perimeter frame with hydroformed steel side rails and the cast-aluminum front and rear crossmembers. These crossmembers carry lightweight forged-aluminum upper and lower control arms front and rear. Along with the car's rear composite leaf spring, they help keep unsprung weight down and ensure crisp tracking. The Z06 exhibits exceptionally good cornering control and grip, particularly at higher speeds, thanks to its larger front anti-roll bar, stiffer rear leaf spring, and specific camber settings. Our 70.3-mph pass through the slalom is among the quickest we've ever recorded. All this stick does come at a noise and ride price. Detroit's weather-blasted expansion joints report into this car like the boom of distant fireworks or the sharp click of railroad tracks, depending on the surface. Road grain changes easily excite the plastic-bodied Vette's harmonics. Very rough curves can induce the extra-wide tires to skip sideways. Yet, the car's ride is reasonably good, considering its handling capabilities. The four-wheel disc brake system is composed of huge, vented rotors, backed up by ABS; The result is simply amazing 60-0-mph stops in just 104 ft. No Corvette review would be complete without mentioning its standard Active Handling stability control system, which significantly raises this car's hard-driving useability. This electronic safety net can make the difference between a simple pulse-elevating slide and an expensive, unwelcome call to the flatbed operator. And if you want to maximize handling, the setup can be deactivated. We made our best pass through the 600-ft slalom with the stability system on and the traction control switched off. We also switched the stability system off for our skidpad test for a stellar 0.99 g. But for quick backroad workouts and/or inconsistent surfaces, we'd definitely leave it on and relax. Even among the world's best and significantly pricier sports cars, the Z06 is a benchmark for fast, safe, and comfortable driving. Its precise handling, powerful braking, and awesome power levels render it one of America's greatest thrill rides. In fact, its overall performance makes it a combination musclecar/sports car/exotic-at a price that, while not chump change, must be considered a bargain for what the driver receives in return. And you'll need a little something left over to cover those inevitable speeding tickets. Now the fine print... We understand you are buying online, but with us you are not buying blind! We handwrite every single description. We provide 24+ high resolution pictures & we inspect and photo what you see and what you can't see. We'll also be glad to email you detailed, closeup pictures of any area you'd like to see more of. People ask us all the time what is the catch to our vehicles. They assume that the prices are low because there is something wrong with them. Nothing could be further from the truth! Our secret is simple...LOW OVERHEAD. We are an internet-only dealer. We do not maintain regular office hours or a large sales facility. We simply have a Mississippi bonded dealer's license, a storage lot, and a computer. Since we don't have dozens of mechanics, helpers, salesmen, secretaries, etc. on our payroll; we are able to sell at greatly reduced prices. You will notice that we sometimes go with private auctions. Our reasons are twofold...the latest scam is to send bogus 2nd chance offers to customers from a fake email address in an attempt to scam them out of money. With a private auction the scammers won't know who our bidders are so if you get a 2nd chance offer from us you will know that it is the real deal! In addition, we set our reserves to sell which upsets other sellers! In fact, sometimes we set our reserve $1,000 or more below what our cost is. This leads other sellers to email our customers and knock our product! We will provide the winning bidder, upon request, with a complete bid history including the usernames & bid amounts of all other bidders. All new or low feedback (under 5 positives) bidders must first email us for no other reason than just to make contact. This way we know we have serious bidders! If you don't make contact we will cancel your bid and black you out from future bidding. We do this to avoid the de@dbe@t bidders, so please respect our policy. If you have a rating of 5 or better you don't have to email us. In the meantime, sit back and enjoy our site and add us to your favorites, because you just never know when your dream vehicle will pop up!!! We've put this vehicle through our EXTENSIVE inspection process & can report it has a great ride & drive! We do our best to let you know of any/all issues we can find on these vehicles since you're buying sight-unseen. When we first bought the car, the "Service Active Handling" warning would occasionally come on after a few miles. However, after changing the battery it hasn't done it since so we think it was just related to the low battery. The government sells all their seized vehicles as "true miles unknown" however we are certain the miles are accurate and it has a clean Carfax history. WATCH THE VIDEO. If you have any specific questions then don't hesitate to call us email us. Please understand we do our best to describe, in detail, every vehicle we offer to the Ebay public. However, if you have any hesitation during the bidding period, please obtain a Buyer's Inspection PRIOR TO PLACING YOUR BID to satisfy yourself. After the auction ends, understand you are the legal winning bidder of this auction and agree to all our Terms and Conditions. Be sure and take a look at the book values on this vehicle (or any other we have for sale) before you bid. We stopped offering a built-in BuyIt Now option due to ebay's policy of letting anyone with an email address register a username. We had half a dozen de@dbe@t bidders in a row hit the BIN with no intention of paying. We do have a BuyIt Now price so give us a call if you're interested and we'll add one to the listing so you can buy it through ebay. Make sure you call us for more information on this vehicle. As always though, our reserve is THOUSANDS less than NADA value so bid early & bid often so you don't miss out! Don't be outbid at the last minute! With the eBay proxy bidding system all you have to do is enter the maximum amount you're willing to pay when you get ready to bid. Ebay will then automatically bid against other people for you up to that amount to help make sure you don't miss out. This saves you from getting sniped in the last few seconds of an auction by someone with a computer program. Don't try and bid in small increments at the last minute...go ahead & bid the full amount you're willing to pay then let eBay do the hard work! This vehicle is for sale locally so we must reserve the right to end the auction early due to local sale. However, once the reserve is met then we will let the auction run its course & sell to the high bidder. Now for the fine print... We will make every reasonable effort to describe the vehicle, and we include many photos to assist in that effort. However, it is important to remember that these vehicles are pre-owned, not brand new. We CANNOT Be Held Responsible For Expenses Or Repairs Beyond The Point Of Delivery. We say this for the simple fact that once you leave then what happens hundreds of miles down the road is out of our control. We do our best to make all our vehicles road-ready. In most cases we have already driven them 4-800 miles ourselves. Terms of Sale Fee and Tax Information: MS Residents Must Pay The 5% State Sales Tax on all motorized vehicles (7% on anything else such as campers, travel trailers, etc.) and a $100 Title/Doc Fee. All Other U.S. Buyers Will Pay Their Own State Taxes Themselves In Their Home State. All other bidders pay only a $99 Documentation Fee in addition to the winning bid. This covers our costs for a notary, Fedex charges, and other paperwork. Lousiana, Canadian and other foreign buyers must pay a $149 Documentation Fee to cover the extra Fedex and other expenses associated with doing international (and Cajun) paperwork. We do have Mississippi temporary tags available if you desire one for an additional $50. Winning bidder MUST contact us within 24 hours of auction end and make arrangements for payment at that time. Balance due within 5 days of auction end. This is due to the large number of de@dbeat bidders out there. De@dbeat bidders WILL receive negative feedback & be reported to ebay. Payment Must Be Made VIA Cashier's Check, Bank-to-Bank Wire Transfer, or Cash (in person). We must be able to verify funds prior to vehicle delivery. Generally we have almost all titles on hand. However, we sometimes buy vehicles that are dealer trade-ins where there is a payoff involved so the title may be delayed. Feel free to contact us if you need to verify we have the title on hand for a particular vehicle. On Average, Titles Go Out Within a Few Days, But Occasionally There May Be Delays Beyond Our Control. We Cannot Accept Credit Card or Escrow Payments. We've used them many times in the past with good reults. For the best rate contact them directly. Call 800-626-2505 for the fastest quote. To save money be sure and specify "terminal to terminal" shipping. We'll drop the vehicle off at their local terminal here at no charge to save you money. If you pick up the vehicle at a terminal nearby instead of having it delivered to your doorstep then you'll save even more!If you prefer to fly in & drive home we'll be glad to pick you up at Jackson Internation Airport ("JAN"), the local Greyhound station, or the Amtrak Depot. Our business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday (CST). Please arrange your flight times accordingly. We are more than happy to provide free pickup during normal business hours. We no longer will deliver vehicles after-hours or on weekends. Occasionally things pop up like a blown fuse or a headlight going out and after hours a mechanic isn't there to fix it. We will store your vehicle up to 90 days free, however you must provide full coverage insurance & pay in full. We will not be responsible for damage or theft while in storage here. Our insurance policy will not allow it. If you are not sure about something, Please ASK. Do not assume anything not listed is included. This is how we make our living. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to Ebay, and negative feedback posted. We are not one of those sellers who is afraid to leave bad feedback where it is due even at the risk of receiving it ourselves in return(one of the major flaws in eBay's feedback system). You can look at our "feedback left for others" page for proof. PLEASE ONLY BID WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY. IF THE RESERVE IS NOT MET, WE MAY CONTACT THE HIGH BIDDER TO OFFER THE SECOND CHANCE OPTION.
