THE OVERVIEW Offered for an appreciating new owner AT NO RESERVE is this classic 1990 BMW 535i sedan. Finished in "Brilliantrot" red over black leather hides. this E34-chassis 535i sports an excellent running high compression factory 3.5 liter 208 horsepower inline six cylinder engine mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission. Stopping power is provided by four wheel disc brakes with anti-lock. This car features electric windows and electric sunroof, electric leather seats, 15" gold-centered mesh wheels with decent rubber. The car has been driven approximately 245,000 miles though the odometer pixels are not showing. Don't be alarmed as this is one still smooth and strong engine. While generally sporting a presentable and still gleaming BMW red paint finish, the exterior of this car has a host of imperfections [which I hope are articulated in the many photos here] including nicks, areas of clearcoat failure, scratches and various other minor blemishes. THE INTERIOR I would rate the interior of this 34 year-old BMW in fair condition overall. The leather is original and still holding up well as is the crack-free dash. Imperfections include slight delaminating of the headliner fabric, missing stereo, driver side window glass off the track, hvac inop, broken wiper stalk control, seat cable twist, missing glovebox lock and some seat control buttons. I may also be forgetting a few other small details. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This 1990 BMW 535i starts easily, runs very well with strong and willing acceleration, smooth shifting gearbox, fairly tight and responsive steering, solid braking with secure pedal feel and good tracking down the road. This is still a satisfying car to drive down the open road while still delivering low to mid 20s mpgs on the highway. THE DETAILS AND $$$$$ 1. IF sold to a California resident, it will be sold technically "AS IS" as a "A PARTS CAR ONLY" where buyer is responsible for smog testing.
