Vehicle Detail
This was originally a school bus for the small town of Ozark Arkansas, but is not a 3/4 ton. This is a half ton regular Suburban model. You can still see "Ozark Public School" written on the sides. It was apparently bought new by the school district and has never left the area in 64 years. The Suburban has the rare rear clam shell and not the usual barn doors. The truck is pretty complete, other than the only seat left is the driver's seat. The bad on the truck: the rear clam shell is in poor shape and will take major body work to get back in shape. The front floor boards will need replaced and the wood floor board at the back will need replaced, as expected. There is some rust at the back of the rear panels, next to the bumper. The driver's door has heavy damage at bottom and would likely need replaced. There is a dent on the left side panel that will be easily repairable. The trim tag with the serial number on it is long gone. The engine and trans are there, but I have no idea as to their condition. I do not have a title, but I had to put some option down in the auction, so I selected rebuildable. I will provide a bill of sale to the buyer. The good on the truck: Other than the rust mentioned above, the truck really seems to be pretty solid (looking past the surface rust on the interior, etc). It has the rare clam shell door. It has been a southern vehicle since new. It is mostly there and ready to be stripped and built! I am selling this truck for a reasonable price, considering what it needs, these are getting very hard to find and is a good builder.
