1968 Ford Mustang Coupe Highland Green with Ivy Gold interior 65,679 miles on the odometer (Assume 165,679 miles) 3rd owner of car for past 8 years. 6 cylinder with automatic transmission Perfect rust and accident free body with all original panels Paint is brand NEW and very well done with beautiful black vinyl top Lovely original interior, good seats, headliner, lower AND upper consoles and door panels. Mechanically superb and a delight to drive This is a real "time capsule" and an incredibly good and reliable car to own and use. Inspections encouraged This is a beautiful, original example of a 1968 Mustang Coupe. NO RUST and a PERFECT body, floors, rockers panel, etc. Interior is in VERY good condition, except the carpet is frayed near the drivers seat. Electrically, everywhere works as it should except for the clock. Lights ALL function including the hood blinkers and ALL interior lights. Original AM radio stills pumps out the oldies. This is an unusual car as it was a special order 6 cyl model but with the Deluxe interior, which includes faux wood grain on the instrument panels, lower console and door panels, and optional roof console, plus thick color keyed padding and chrome trim. Also, the Deluxe interior included the fancier seats with chrome accent and fancy door panels. The door panel chrome trim is showing some wear, but over-all they are still in excellent condition. This car also has the original wire wheel covers that are in excellent condition. I added electronic ignition (Pertronix) that hides underneath the factory distributor cap. I also added a period correct brake booster to give the car power brakes on the 4 wheel drums. Mechanically, the car is excellent. All systems function and work as required. The car runs and drives really well. Power steering and brakes are AWESOME. Unrepaired issues: 1) Carpet 2) Small rock chip in windshield 3) Occasional seepage from rear main seal (Drips sometimes but not often) Sale includes the original owners manual, warranty booklet and "helpful hints" fold-out. Also included is a fitted, model specific car cover. I bought this car 8 years ago specifically because it was a 6 cylinder model that had NOT been hot-rodded, abused or chopped up by some 16 year old. This is a beautiful car and an excellent example of what a 1968 Mustang is and should be. Yes it is a 6 cylinder model, but I have adjusted the price to compensate for that. You will NOT find a better car at this price point. This is an Outstanding car in very good condition. Take a look you will NOT be disappointed. Vehicle is for sale locally.
