This is a true barn find here. This Legendary Honda Big Red came from a local farm where it spent the last 29 years faithfully doing small chores (hauling leaves and grass clippings) since it was bought new from the original owner in May 2014 who is retiring at 78 years old. When I purchased it the Big Red was not running (no gas) and had 3 flat original tires that were dry rotted and battery was dead. I have since given the Big Red 3 new tires (less than 5 miles on them now), New Honda Air & Oil Filter / Oil and a fresh battery. The Big Red Starts and runs perfectly. The gas tank was drained prior to storage by previous owner so there is absolutely no rust or leaks coming from the steel gas tank - most Big Reds still running have graduated to an aftermarket plastic tank which is fine but not original. All of the bearings / seals are free from any play or leaking fluids. All the brakes work great - brake cables / drums are free and operate as they should. All of the lights work - tail lights, high beam, low beam, lights in the factory speedometer. The engine starts instantly and shifts great - I pulled a 800 lb trailer with it and the clutch holds great no slippage. All of the rims are also in great shape with a few marks on the outside edge as usual. This Honda Big Red 250ES is washed - not detailed with shiny armor all or painted anywhere - the shine and paint is 29 years old and represents itself very well.
