THE OVERVIEW Offered for an appreciating new owner is this rare classic 1987 BMW 325is sport sedan! Finished in Zinnoberrot red over black leather hides, this E30-chassis 325is sports an excellent running 2.5 liter 168 horsepower inline six cylinder engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. Stopping power is provided by four wheel disc brakes. Other features include front and rear "is" spec spoilers, Recaro-sourced factory manual sport seats, cd stereo, electric windows and sunroof, 14" mesh "is" wheels with excellent rubber, cruise control, M steering wheel and A/C! What looks to be all or mostly original paint has a still lustrous overall shine with typical rock chips, nicks, scrapes and light imperfections typical of a near 30 year-old car.. It appears that the right front fender has been repainted, the alloy wheels have some scuffs and center caps faded along with rear spoiler needing repaint. I would rate this car as a still handsome and sporty, very nice driver-quality example. THE INTERIOR The interior of this classic E30 is in very good overall condition with near-perfect dash and all controls in excellent working order. As I hope is articulated in the many photos here, imperfections include a small tear on the right bolster of the driver seat leather, odo inop and a/c not blowing cold. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This little 325is starts easily, runs very well with willing acceleration, smooth shifting gearbox, tight responsive steering, solid braking with secure pedal feel and good tracking down the road. This is an extremely satisfying car to drive with great handling a a nice verve to the spunky engine reminding you why the three series sedan has been the benchmark of small sport sedans for three decades.
