This mercedes was bought as run and drive off of ebay a year ago. When it arrived my ex wife took the key and since it was a salvage car had to get taken to the dealer for a key to be married. I have the key and the car wont start. I took the car to a reputable mercedes mechanic and he said it would need $2800.00 in repairs. He said its the shift control module and that the car is simply not communicating with the key. This was a flood car and I really dont know too much about it. It did not take any water on other than the floor boards. The seat motors need to be replaced as with many flood cars. The car is trully a beauty. I paid almost double of what my reserve is but I do not want to fix the car and have to title it just to give the ex wife half of what I sell it for. My loss is your gain.
