1951 Mercury "MERC-A-MATIC" Sedan This rare 1951 Merc-A-Matic sedan with "suicide doors" is the automatic transmission version for that year. This 1951 Mercury has a solid original body which was restored with the original colors inside and out in 2003. Car still has skirts over the rear wheels as well as a working AM radio. The restored interior has front and rear saddle bench seats coordinated with the 2-tone tan and thorn brown found on the doors and dashboard. Its original Flathead V-8 engine and automatic transmission show off the car's great running condition on its radial white wall tires. Chrome bumpers, upholstery, carpet and door panels were restored in 2003. New brake lines and rebuilt transmission in 2004. New dual stainless steel exhaust system in 2011. Low mileage at just over 38,000 miles!!! I am the third owner. Payment in the form of a Bank's Cashier Check.
