1991 MAZDA SPEC MIATA Championship Winning Racer! Like a NEW BUILD-Ready to Race This car was raced by a championship driver. The engine was then replaced with a Race Engineering Engine and run in 3 races. Less than 6 hours of racing on the new engine! It was then repainted and parked at events as an advertising publicity show vehicle for a body shop, it was only run in an Autocross, an exhibition event and a lap day at Miller Motor Sports Park. It has not been run since then in any wheel-to-wheel racing event. This race car runs like a dream and is described by the championship driver as one of the best 1.6L Spec Miatas he has ever driven. MAZDA SPEC MIATA Championship Winning Race Car! (Chassis) Mileage: 183K miles Newer engine and transmission Features Body type: Convertible With Hardtop Engine: 4 Cylinder 1.6 Liter Exterior color: Yellow Transmission: Manual Fuel type: Gasoline Interior color: Other Drivetrain: 5 speed Race Engineering 1991 Mazda Miata “Spec Miata” Race Car This isn’t Billy Bob’s Spec Miata that was built in a garage and run mid pack for years with no good results. This is a fully-sorted, Multiple Championship and race winning proven Spec Miata. This car was raced by a seasoned racer and has won both the SCCA and NASA regional championships in Southern California attended the SCCA Runoffs, and has been in the top 3 in the regional championship every year it has raced. The engine is like new and starts right up the way you would expect a new engine to. Get a car that will let you run up front! This car isn’t in show car condition but does have new high-quality paint! I would call this paint “99%” There are a few small blemishes (dings) that were painted over, but all-in-all, the paint is excellent. Painting was done by a high-quality paint and body shop as a publicity vehicle for the business. The paint job alone is worth well over $1,500! It also has a NEW WINDSHIELD! The #31 WRC Performance Tuning/Rush Motorsport Miata: Drivetrain • Bob Thorton “Race Engineering” 1.6L Race motor • 100% Legal engine run 3 weekends since refresh (less than 6 hours) • 4 Race old freshly rebuilt transmission • ACT Pressure Plate and 4 Puck Un-sprung Disc • Mazda Competition LSD • Koyo Aluminum Race Radiator • Rush Motorsport 180 Degree Intake with K&N Filter • Springfield Dyno Exhaust System Suspension • Spec Bilstein Shocks • Spec Eibach Springs • Spec Adjustable Collars • Spec Swaybars • Adjustable Endlinks • 1999 Updated Top Hats • Recently replaced OEM calipers Front/Rear • Carbotech Brake Pads • Stainless Brake Lines • Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 Wheels Silver(Some powdercoating has flaked near edges from mounting tires) YOU WILL NEED NEW TIRES!! The only things needed are a set of new tires. Some race organizations may require new harnesses. You may also need a few required decals (off-switch, etc) because the paint is new. Ownership transferred by bill-of-sale. I also have the California title in the previous owner’s name. This is a true race car!
