Got this car on Ebay 3 years ago.Tons of orange peel so the first thing I did was wet sanded with 5 different grits/cut clear back in and finish buffed. Whoever painted this car did not know anything about bodywork/prep. work. Amazing Deal best on Ebay for the right person. 65 Coronet 500 383 /auto with ac from the factory. Now has a 1971 (G) 440 HP with edelbrock alum.intake with newer 850 dual line holley carb./ Electroic ignition a 727 Auto. on the floor I think this is the org. trans.8.75 posi rear end with 3:55 gears. Still retains after 50 years the org. interior not even the carpet has been replaced check out int. photos.All the glass has the org. stamping even the windshield all dated1964 they are factory tint for ac.I have invested way more money in this car then I will ever get out of it.There is so many new items I will list below.I have all rec. for work done plus owners and shop manuals that will go with car. New rear leaf springs /OEM shackles and bushings from ESPO Spings n Things. All the brakes have been done all parts from Inline tube. New dual master cylinder with conversion lines and block/ 3 hyd. hose /all hard lines/4 wheel cylinders/turned the drums/new pads and hardware kit. New 2.5 flowmaster dual exhaust from the headers to back bumper with super 40 mufflers.Battery is one year old.4 new monroe shocks.Newer BFG Radial TA with about 80%to 85% tread life left. Rears are 255/60/R15 Fronts are 215/65/R15 mounted on American Racing Gray Vintage Torq. Thurst D wheels 15X7 up front and 15X8 in rear.This is a great parts car/make into drag car that is complete that stops/runs and drives. There is No Data Tags for car.All 3 places for stamping match rad. support/ trunk lip and rear package tray.Clear title in my name.Only payment I will take is Cash in person at pickup. All shipping or transport. cost are the buyers responsibility.On Jun-08-14 at 04:44:41 PDT, seller added the following information: The cowl area is perfect not even surface rust.The trunk trim has been changed by one of the prev. owners.I do not have rocker or wheel lip trim.The rear package tray behind back seat is also missing.The gas gauge only works sometimes.The odometer works but not speedo it is currently unhooked behind gauge cluster.The left front drum is warped and wobbles a little when stopping.Floor rust small area at you feet on front left which has made sufarce rust on troison bar trans.cross member area.The rest of the floors look perfect from below car .Has small rust hole right front Frame Rail right before mount area of the hyd. brake hose.It is on the side of the rail not on bottom? Both sheets shipping order # match the 3 stampings on the body. All ship. orders match body Paint codeWW1 the car was white before painting over it red. There is white paint in parts of the inner fenders/door jambs/trunk lip and rear shelf is white.Check out photos in auction. Body code W42trim code P4R engine 383-4 auto trans. floor console /ac/heater/bucket seats/horn ring/left side outside remote mirror etc. etc everything is correct all the way down to the white headliner and white sun visors.With the clear title and broadcast sheets you can get a fender tag made from Galen Govier but No One can make a New Matching Vin Tag.You can mail a request for the IBM Card from the Chrysler Historical Society with the paper work from sell. If it is still on file the IBM Card will have the vin# on the card with SON and all other info.The last 3 owners the family who can not locate tags and other 2 owners all live in small farm communities in southern IL. These are hard working farmers who do not steal 65 Coronets.They leave there doors unlocked and treat neighbors like family.So this is bottom line if you Can Not Live with this info. posted in this auction. There is 2 Rad. Support and rear tray. Starting in 67-68 the rear tray stamping was moved to the left side trunk lip under rubber seal.
