Up for auction is my 1985 VW Westfalia full camper. This is a re-listing. This van is a clean running, good looking vehicle. It is almost a rust free vehicle. The undercarriage shows no rust damage and the exterior is exceptional for its age. As far as I know, it is the original paint job. The interior is clean and has all the original parts. Just look at the pictures. I had 2 different garages look at the vehicle and they were both impressed with the van. This van has a rebuilt 2L GoWesty engine with less than 6000 miles on it($6000) and recently tuned. It has a recently installed Bilstein shocks in the rear. There were a number of people that asked to see the van in person when I initially listed it but the van was at the garage so I stopped the auction to give those who wanted to see it a chance to look at it. I wanted the person who wins the auction to be happy so I decided to do addition work on it. This is what was done to the van in the last few weeks: -Cooling system diagnosed- thermo switch replaced for cooling fan, complete cooling system flushed, pressure tested for leaks, inspected belts, hoses and test radiator cap.-Checked starter circuit, replaced starter assembly-Brand new NAPA battery installed-Pop top roof was removed and cleaned-New GoWesty design tent was installed-Set of new Yokohama tires installed (P215/65R15) to existing If you want a better Vanagon, go check out the ones in GoWesty.com. You'll suffer from "sticker shock." My van is not the same as GoWesty's but it's in pretty good condition and it's one of the best I've seen in the east coast. I bought extra parts that will be included in the auction: oil filters, curtain hooks, fuses, stickers, repair manual, and some other misc. items. I put full rubber floor mats to protect the floor. This van is sold "as is' and no warranty. This vehicle is 29 years old and I took care of it the last 3 years(replaced broken or missing pieces). It is not perfect and you should not expect it to be.
