Vehicle Detail

This 1970 Honda CT 90 is both great fun to ride, and a great vintage motorcycle investment! These bikes were the epitome of cool in the 60's and 70's and still have a great classic, timeless look about them that never fails to turn heads! this one runs and rides strong, I am a pretty big guy, just shy of 280 Lbs, and I have had this one to a bit over 40 without issues. This bike is largely in very good condition, with good breaks, functioning electrical system, very nice clean wheels, new tires, a solid transmission, a good seat, and no rust whatsoever. The only mechanical things to note are a slight hesitation if the throttle is opened too quickly at higher speeds, which i think is likely due to a small amount of gunk in the carb. This bike sat for a few years before i purchased it. It was running when it came to me, but pretty rough. Since then I have flushed the fuel system with solvent, and run endless amounts of fuel system cleaner through it and it continues to improve every time I ride it, and is quite smooth now, so I highly doubt the gunk will even be an issue after a few more rides. The only other issue to note is the clutch needs to be adjusted, it does not fully disengage when the lever is pulled, which is just a cable adjustment issue (this is an easy fix from what I am told, but I have very little experience working on these bikes, so I did not want to damage it trying to do work I did not have the skills for). It is ride-able with the clutch issue, just takes a little rev matching to make the gears mesh properly, which is easy. The outward condition of the bike is good, with most paint and decals remaining. it was ridden and used as intended earlier in its life, however the condition is good for a 44 year old motorcycle that was designed to be thrown around in the dirt. There are nicks and scratches, the worst of it is the grey plastic frame cover, which someone has written "on" "off" etc. on for the fuel controls, it also has a small crack and some fading. if this really bothers the buyer, it is not very expensive, or hard to find, if it is going to be ridden, then it does not really matter. There is also a small crack in the headlight bucket, and a small tear in the front right rubber shock cover, but again, it is nothing major, easily replaced if deemed necessary, does not affect how the bike rides, and is not really noticeable except for on close inspection. The paint is good overall, with a few rock chips here and there, and the obvious ding in the front fender, other than that is is solid. The electrical system functions perfectly, and the battery is near new, there are no issues to note in this area. The tires, which are quite expensive, are brand new, and in great condition. they have tons of grip on rough surfaces and are very meaty for a trail bike. also brand new are the rear view mirrors, which are very nice. I have a clear Kansas title in hand. I would prefer local pick up, trucking is to be coordinated by the buyer. I do have a very good shipping specialist that has said he will ship it, but the cost will be nearly $600, and that was just his best guess. I will discuss these options with the buyer so they can determine what is best for them. if you are a SERIOUS BUYER please feel free to ask any questions.
