This is a great motorcycle that is going to make someone very happy! I have loved riding this bike and would keep it but for the fact that a friend of mine lost a leg in a bad accident and my wife is all over me to stop riding after 30+ years. In essence, I am giving up the possibility of a fatal accident in order to avoid the certainty of being nagged to death. I bought this bike from a friend in 2007. He and I have both maintained the bike at Hollywood Honda/BMW and they have all maintenance of the records. While he owned this great bike, my friend added some nice touches like a tinted windshield (power) to match the bike's teal color and he also added fog lights that come in handy when riding at night. I added halogen headlights and a USB port for an IPod so you can listen to whatever you'd like while riding. The speakers sound great and the bike also has an AM/FM radio that I hardly ever use. Low miles on the tires and the battery is about a year old. I am also adding a battery charger which you need if you ride less than every 5 days or so. I have always kept the bike garaged or covered and the paint is in great shape except for a small blemish on the bottom of the back (right) side trunk which is not noticeable. My friend added Corbin seats both front and rear (with matching back rests) but the front seat was torn on the seams and I had it recovered with black leather. You can replace it with a new Corbin front seat for about $500 if you want but it looks fine to me. This bike still runs perfectly and is a great day-to-day machine as well as a great long tour bike. I only have 3-4,000 miles on the current tires. This bike still has all the pop and torque of any bike with comparable cc's and will last for many more years with proper maintenance. I just re-registered the bike and registration is good until May 2015. I don't have time to spend negotiating or showing it to inexperienced riders. I also don't have time to arrange shipping for anyone so if you can't pick it up, please do not bid. I will not show this bike to anyone who is not already a licensed motorcyclist as this is not a bike to learn on. Please note that I have not sold many items on EBay but have been a dependable buyer for years and I will treat the eventual buyer of this bike with the same respect that I demand as a buyer. That means I am not exaggerating about the great condition that this bike is in or the reason I am selling it. I would like it to end up in a good home with a responsible owner!
