Vehicle Detail
1984 Porsche 911 Targa Euro Spec 3.2 Liter, 5-Speed 915 Transaxle. VIN # WP0ZZZ91ZES140967. Car imported to US by Elite Imports, Chicago, IL, in 1986. ROW-rated by Porsche at 231 HP vs. 205 for US models. Distinguishing features of this vehicle are: mid-body directional lights, gearbox cooler, rear bumperettes that are smaller and further apart than domestic model, fuel quality switch as part of DME, heater control switch, lowered ride height, and no O2 sensor/converter. Car purchased for my son 9/9/2009. Has been garaged and used only for battery charging since May, 2011. Some work done since that time and less than 50 miles on all components advertised as new. Battery relocated to smuggler’s hole but needs mounting. Repainted by a previous owner but lower rear valances need prep/paint. Car is presently registered and inspected but just taking up space in the garage. New Parts, mostly Pelican sourced; Dunlop Tires on rear (P215 60 R15) Goodyears on front (P195 60 R15), Boge Shocks/Struts, Engine/transmission mounts, Alternator/regulator, Throw-out Bearing, Pressure plate, Clutch Disc, Pilot Shaft, Main Shaft Seal, Clutch Cable, Omega Spring, Accelerator Cable, Fuel Filter, Distributor Cap, Ignition Wires, Fuel Injectors, Starter, Ring Gear, Ignition Switch (Elec. Portion; mechanical portion modified), Headlight Switch, Steering Shaft Bushing, Speed, Reference, and Cylinder Head Sensors, Shifter Bushings (all), Shift shaft coupler to trans, Oil Lines to Cam Covers, Steve Wong Chip for this ROW Model (will include original chip), Tune Up Parts; Rotor, Spark Plugs, Air Filter, Oil Filter, Valve Cover Gaskets and Fasteners, Fan Belt, Fuel Pump Relay, Fog Lamp Relay, Headlight Relay Kit (Improves current transfer), Driver’s Side Composite Floorboard, Rennline Aluminum Passenger-side floorboard, Rennline Aluminum Pedal pads, Clutch Stop, Stainless Steel Door Sills, Targa Top Rear Seal, Rennline Stainless Steel Rear Engine Mount Bar, Rennline Stainless Alternator Strap, Heater Cable Wires, Intake Gaskets, Magnetic Drain Plugs for engine/transmission, Oil Cooler Seals, Intake Seals, Trunk Base Bracket, Miscellaneous Seals, Gaskets, Fasteners, and Indicator Lights, High-Pitch Horn, Windshield Washer Pump and Grommet Mounts, Engine Compartment Decals, Engine Compartment Sound-proofing, Oil-Cooler Air Scoop Have available documentation to go with this vehicle, including: Clear NY State Title, Sales receipts, Porsche parts diagrams with OEM numbers, Original Owner’s Manual (sullied), Hayne’s Manual, Tech and Spec Manual by Bruce Whittier On hand and not installed are new door pockets, original rear seat backs, air conditioning system (complete, less rubber hoses, clamps, etc.), radio (Sony), and miscellaneous detail parts. Telescopic antenna is in place but not connected. Car starts in any temperature . No-chatter clutch with strong, precise response. Oil consumption was well below advertised quart per 1,000 miles when my son used it as a daily driver. Rough idle but great acceleration. Shifts well through all gears but occasionally stiff upshifting into 2nd. Despite the work invested, vehicle needs Targa Top rebuild(http://www.carsincnj.com/), minor rust repair at base of windshield(1 square inch of paint bubble;see picture), carpeting/soundproofing, rear seat cushions, and windshield(slightly pitted), and speakers. Battery mount required for Smuggler's hole. Pin connection at passenger remote mirror, tune-up (metering, not parts). Needs driver side front trunk felt liner. All interior/exterior lights, heater, controls, and gauges work as intended, except directional stalk (high beams come on when turning; typical Porsche quirk, see Pelican Parts for remedy) and interior dome light needs a bulb. Has Fuchs wheels, replacement inertia belts, replacement front seats(fair condition), fairly complete original tool kit, original compact spare tire, headlight washers, and other details too numerous to mention. 96,494 miles in 30 years. These cars, when properly maintained, have a service life of 200,000 miles. The only rust is that mentioned in front of the windshield and pictured. Buyer responsible for arranging shipper and transport. I will assist with putting car on street so your carrier can load on his vehicle. Will provide title once payment clears. $500.00 required via Paypal within 24 hours, remainder by certified check or wire transfer within 3 days.
