I CONSIDER THIS CAR A RUNNING, DRIVING PROJECT AND IT IS BEING SOLD AS IS. YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME INSPECT IT BEFORE PURCHASING. $11,500 OBO. Would consider daily drivers like a mini-cooper S, or a recent fuel efficient daily driver, or a motorcycle/jetski. I am also always interested in old cars. Hot Rods, muscle cars and yes, even the big oldies (especially convertibles) and wagons. I can add cash if you have something worth more that interests me, and if your value is lower I would expect the same. Payment in cash or by wire. I can also assist the buyer for transportation. If the buyer is overseas I am not far from international ports in NJ and Baltimore. Buyer assumes all costs for transport from my location, but I may be able to transport it to a terminal if buyer pays for fuel and car trailer rental. Please contact me to discuss details BEFORE committing to purchase. I just bought this as a summer driver, and I intended to fix LITTLE things as I went along. But the more I look her over the more I realized how many little things need to be done and I already have 3 other cars in various stages of resto/mod-ation and I changed my mind - I don't want another. So I have decided to move her along to someone that will give her everything she needs. The car IS running and driveable. It is titled as a 1972, but obviously people think its a 1969. The chassis is a 1972 as is the drivetrain and the forward part of the cabin and firewall. Birdcage is from the 1972. Original VIN tag is in place, nothing was tampered with. Underside needs lots of detailing and cleanup to make pretty. The engine compartment does as well. Needs a new top. I think most of the gauges are not connected. Body needs some adjustment at the front in support areas to make it fit correctly near the doors and hood (this is from the re-body, and there are some support/hidden fiberglass sections that need to be reglassed to hold this properly). Body has a fair number of little nicks and gouges here and there, and a few small fiberglass repairs needed. Rear bumpers need some playing with to align. Driver side door handle is just sitting in place (needs the nuts put on to hold it). Drivers door mirror is missing its rubber base. She looks good from 10 ft, but on closer inspection you can see things with the fender/door alignment as mentioned above. Birdcage was inspected and is in good condition. Frame is in good condition. Previous owner said headlights worked, but I cannot get them to go back down now. Missing the bucket around the passenger headlights. Brakes pull to one side a little under moderate to hard braking. They are new calipers up front, so maybe one isn't bled perfectly. I have a new brake booster and master cylinder that go with the car. Overall if a person isn't as picky as I am you COULD drive her while making improvements. I think most here know what 69 roadsters go for. If you aren't stuck on original everything this is a reasonably priced starting point. For questions or to make offers please call me at 302-344-3037.
