This Mustang has lots of upgrades to make it a great looking, sounding and running car. If you are looking for a fastback to drive and enjoy that has had lots of money invested this is it. It has a built 302 with toploader 4 speed, power steering power disc brakes, Lots of upgrades such as Mach 1 hoodscoop with turn signals, front and rear spoilers, factory sport mirrors, 15” Torque Thrust wheels, pop open gas cap, rear valance with exhaust cutouts and 70 Mach 1 exhaust tips. The body on the car is very straight with no dents or even door dings that I can see. The paint is about 10 years old but still looks good and shines nicely. As you can see it has had Boss style stripes and blacked out tail panel added which really set the car apart. It is not show quality and it has minor chips and blemishes here and there as you would expect from a car that has been driven. All panels line up well. Chrome is in good shape with some of it being replaced such as bumpers and taillight bezels. The rear quarter boomerang trim and door handles look original and have some checking. Glass is all good. Wheels are in nice shape with no curb marks. Tires are BF Goodrich 245/60R15 on the rear and 235/60R15 on the front. The body on this car is very good and there is almost no rust or evidence or rust repair. Quarters, door etc are all very solid. I only found a couple small bubbles behind the left rear wheel at the very bottom of the quarter, hardly noticeable, Quarter panels are original and I see no evidence of patch panels or rust repair. No rust in doors. The underside of the car is original and looks very good. It still has all original floors and the car was never undercoated so you can see exactly what the floors look like. The only rust I see is in the passenger trunk drop where the drain hole is. The drain hole has rust and is larger than it was from the factory. There is also a little bit of rust in the back of the wheelwell on the right side. There are a couple small holes in the trunk floor on the right side as well. There is an additional piece of sheetmetal in the trunk on that side that was installed for a trunk mounted battery I am told but the battery is still in the stock location. The frame rails and torque boxes are very solid. The engine compartment is very clean although there is one small rust spot where the inner fenders aprons overlap on the right rear of the engine compartment. The interior is stock appearing and is in very good shape, it was restored about the time the car was painted. It has very nice upholstery, dash, headliner, door panels, carpet and rear interior quarters that have never been cut for speakers. There are a couple very small tears in the side of the driver’s seat. Rear package tray is nice and has speakers hidden underneath. It has an aftermarket tach mounted on the steering column, aftermarket steering wheels and an aftermarket stereo but is stock inside otherwise. The engine is a 302 with maybe 5k miles and it sounds and runs great (watch video if you want to hear it run.).It has lots of upgrades including a larger cam, roller rockers, tall Ford Racing valve covers, Edelbrock Air Gap intake manifold, Holley 650 carb, ceramic coated headers, full MSD ignition, Edelbrock waterpump, Milodon 8 quart oilpan and an aluminum radiator. It also has full 2 ½” Flowmaster exhaust with mandrel ben tailpipes and correct 70 Mach 1 exhaust tips with the rolled edge. It has very good oil pressure, no smoke or noise and the oil looks like new. The toploader transmission works great, it is quiet and is shift nice. It has a Centerforce clutch that works well and is smooth. The shifter is a B&M that works great and has very close gates. The pedal support is worn as is often the case with manual transmission cars, it has probably been that way for a long time but I am picky and I would replace it since is it very inexpensive and not difficult to do. It has had some suspension work done such as lowering coil springs, one piece export brace, Monte Carlo bar and 1” sway bar. The suspension was also rebuilt. All of which combine to make it handle much better in the corners than it did when it was new. The steering control valve has been rebuilt but the steering still has some play and the steering box should be rebuilt to tighten it up. The power disc brakes work well and are a must have in any muscle car.Overall this would be a fantastic car to drive and enjoy. It has the right look and the right sound that you want from your classic Mustang and it’s a 4 speed! It is not completely stock and is not a show car but it is exactly what most people are looking for. There are thousands in receipts from work done on this car, probably close to $20k not including paint and a lot of other big ticket items. In fairness to all bidders I will not disclose my reserve.
