A nice family in San Francisco was moving on to bigger and better digs. The jam room was being disassembled and the mustang had to go. The young man and his wife had shared many good times in this car and I was surprised at how sentimental they got when the deal was done. We had hauled it home and with a fresh battery and 5 gallons of gas, the mustang roared to life. It runs very well and I was quite surprised. It thunders to a start and shows no sign of quitting. The transmission shifts well enough to get around my little town but it should have a thorough tune up and safety check before hitting the high road. There are rust spots and it looks like the front end had taken a hit and been repaired. The front bumper fits oddly as though a chrome one had replaced the original color coated one. It has the NASA gas cap but was crudely stolen and only the surround remains. The hood is no good. What we have is a big project. This is a great car to do "Your Way' and add all the frills you want. Slats and spoilers, magnum 500s, and the scoped hood would do wonders here. It's a fresh slate and the project car market is tightening up. If you have what it takes to see this project through, I am sure the finished product would be spell binding. The title has been applied for and it is currently registered to me.
