Vehicle Detail

Up for Auction is a Truly Nice 1979 Suzuki GS550EN 100% Garaged in the Winter Months, as you can easily see this by the luster in the paint, plastics, rubber and vinyl. New Front and Rear Tires, New Rear Sprocket and Chain, Battery (Trickled Charged all winter-long in 2012-2014 when not in use for short period) I always keep this bike running and it never sits for years; like so many older bikes. Now Vintage status, in very good shape and TOTALLY DRIVE-ABLE / ROAD WORTHY. I use it to run errands and to go to and from work. Rides fine on the local roads and highway speeds (65+mph.) as well. As with most all carburetor/naturally aspirated Machines (and I've had MANY), it can be a very slight challenge to start when sitting for a while and not being driven at all. However, when started no problems running & it will also start up with the Electric Starter with no issues. Idles very nicely when at running temperatures and does not stall even when totally cold and choke is applied, it runs just like it should. Needs just some fine love & as I said above, I ride it quite often. If I had room/space for “My Baby”, I would keep it… Please ask all questions prior to bid and I will be proud to answer them.On May-22-14 at 11:08:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I apologize... The ONLY thing I didn't NOT mention, I lost the Original OEM Key, because I'm so used to it and its been many many years that it's been like this. Not an issue at all because as you can see I put in a Brand New Unit that I simply attached to the left side of the bike . You can clearly see it right below the left side handlebar directly behind the Headlight Housing.Has no effect on bike. Just can't lock the handlebars or gas cap cover, which I never did as if i left the bike at a location, I used to put on a Disc Brake Lock unit or lock it to a post. To open the seat to get at the air cleaner, i just used a small Master Lock Key from an extra pad lock i had. I did remove the Gas Cap cover lock. This replacement Ignition switch IS a specified fitment for the 1979 GS550E, so it's not just a cheapy, it's a real fit item, electrical plugs and all. I'm sorry, I just plain forgot. Honest mistake. PLEASE ask any questions about this "modification" and I will be glad to answer. I will help in anyway I can to help and make you feel more comfortable about this very small incident if it does bothers you. Thank you again.
