This 1981 280 ZX GL edition is as fresh as the day she rolled off the assembly line. It was owned by a dealership and used as a showroom display model at Passport Nissan in Alexandria, Virginia before I acquired it in 1999. The wheels are special for the 1981 model year, the same ones used on the 1980 anniversary edition. The paint is beautiful, pearl black, nicely touched off by a fine gold trim. A small scratch (1/2") near the driver's side cowling and a couple of cosmetic scratches on the chrome of the left front wheel rim. Both are very minor and easily removed. The car is in showroom condition. No rust, no sun fading, and like new interior and exterior. All of the interior vinyl pieces are like new. Still has the new car smell. Always garaged and never exposed to snow or rain. Superb under carriage condition. Engine and transmission are barely broken in, tight and fun to drive. Less than 12,000 original miles. Driven less than 100 miles a year since I have owned it, just enough to keep everything lubricated and running well. Recent radiator flush and coolant replacement. Original Toyo tires which are in great shape and have been well cared for, as has the rest of this classic. Everything is original because this car is still virtually new. All OEM as it was in 1981. You will not be disappointed.
